Child Care Center

"staff never greeted my child or told her goodmorning when i would drop her off in the mornings. my child would scream every single day for drop off. there was one lady there who she’d be okay with being dropped off with. but on the other hand, the other lady would try to restrain her while she screamed like she was afraid. looking back now, it hurts to recognize the very clear signs of neglect. when i would pick her up, she would notice me and scream in fear. most days when i’d get there, staff would be on their phones, not tending to children. i was never asked to bring diapers. (i still did despite this, of course.) they were not changing her properly, she’d always have rashes from the time she started there until i removed her. one day she came home in a boy pull up that was not hers when i had just brought a pack of pull ups the day before. the day i decided to remove her from this facility, i got there 30 minutes early so no one was expecting me to be there. they weren’t prepared for me to walk in. my child was sitting on the floor by herself with her face and shirt soaking wet from crying. she had snot all over her face. she has discharge in the corners of her eyes. not to mention she was running fever and no one cared to call to let me know that my child was not feeling well. it was that day that i decided i would never send her back to that place. since we have started a new child care facility, she NEVER cries for drop off. she never cries in fear when i pick her up. and we have much better days. if you are looking for a child care facility that will nurture and have compassion for your children, this place is not it. i’m writing this in hopes that no child will ever have to be neglected again. it truly hurts to reflect back and see the signs that i missed. i’m not saying there was any abuse because i am unaware of any abuse. but my child was most definitely neglected while attending this daycare. :("
