Reviews
"As of May 10, 2023. The property of stadium square is boarded up and uninhabitable. I suppose that could change, but no one can currently live there."
"I have been a resident at Tiger Plaza for about a year and a half. I also recently went to the local news station about this complex. They might be under new ownership, but that doesn't mean anything. There is massive amounts of squatting in empty apartments, which the management has full knowledge of and does nothing about. The police are on the property multiple times a week due to break ins and destruction of property, once again the management knows fully about this and does nothing about it. They haven't had any type of security since the end of May, and even then it was a short run situation as they found out that several of the security guards were squatting in empty apartments as well. There are potholes throughout the complex but in the back there are ones that can and have done serious undercarriage damage to vehicles and people are told it's not the properties fault and they have to claim it on their insurance. One of the two exit security gates is open 24/7, and now the other doesn't even open. Since I've been here, I've gotten a lot of lip service but no actual work on fixing issues in my apartment. I'm willing to bet that Tiger Plaza probably wont be open for much longer as they have recently lost their HCV certification due to health and safety issues and have been deemed an unsafe area to live in. So if you get the chance, run like you're on fire because this place is not worth the cost they will charge you to live here."
"I wouldn't recommend Tiger Plaza & Stadium Square to NO ONE! They NEVER fix anything. I had a roach/bug problem which they cared nothing about. I was being over charged for electricity I didn't use. Not to mention ALL of the crime/police busting down doors looking for people/the killings. The pot holes on the property are deadly, I have had to replace 3 tires. The assistant property manger is worthless and doesn't help. THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE FOR ANYONE LET ALONE A COLLEGE STUDENT. I wouldn't give it 1 star but that's the only way I could write a review. This complex has scammed me out of hundreds of dollars. The price you would pay to live in that slump you can most definitely move elsewhere. BEWARE!"
"I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Do not waste your time or money. First day of getting my key the bottom of my sink was leaking water. I cleaned it up let the office people know and nothing was done. The next day not only was the bottom of the sick back filled with water, but when you step on the kitchen floor water was coming from underneath the tile floors! Around the third day my closet floor was filled with water and I don’t mean just a little. The whole floor was filled with water which damaged some of the things I had sitting on the closet floor that I had yet to put up. They have flying roaches coming through the vents and management never respond to you on time. The maintenance man was not sent out until it was close to the day you have to pay your rent. Although he fixed the leaking problem under my sink he still informed me that I would have to have my whole kitchen floor replaced. I did not sign up for that! I honestly only stayed in the apartment for maybe 7 days out the whole month. I could not stay sleeping somewhere with those conditions. That is very disgusting. If I could upload pictures and videos of the it I would. I highly would NOT recommend this apartment! Please do not waste your money because you will be disappointed."
"I’d moved into Tiger Plaza right before it’s painfully apparent downfall. It really was great and not far from LSU. I lived here between August 2013-July 2017. I had no problems at all until around the half way point.Once the problems started, they only got worse. It was no coincidence that when the property manager changed so did their reputation. Jonas was extremely poor at managing the property. It is understood that older appliances and units need fixing up, but the lack of maintenance and organization made it almost impossible for work orders to be completed in a timely fashion. At one point my air conditioning was not working for an entire summer. It was over 80 degrees in my apartment at all times. They knew they could not fix the central air, but it took them over a month to give me a one AC unit for a two bedroom master. I had that unit for two months before they finally fixed the central air. The gates were indeed always broken. It doesn’t help that Tiger Plaza is basically in the rough part of town. Also the complex would basically serve as secondary parking for all of the bars next door. Even these experiences did not make me dislike the complex yet. What made it terrible was the moving out process and what followed. I thought I could trust the leasing office. I had turned everything in, keys, gate cards, even the completely ridiculous JELLY BRACELETS that literally cost $0.25 to buy, in which they would charge $100 dollars to replace. I cleaned the place by myself. I didn’t want to be charged any outrageous fees so I did everything on their list. I even took pictures of the entire unit, every room and every part of each room. I had proof the place was clean and not damaged in anyway. 6 months later, I get a call from collections telling me I owe almost $700 in cleaning, damages, and missing gate cards. Mind you I even had pictures of my keys, cards, and bracelets upon return. The property manager said it was out of their hands and they could not help me. I was giving the email of a woman named Stephanie in which I didn’t receive a reply for over a month. The kicker to this stupid story is that, when I received the call from collections, she told me one of the charges was for a DIRTY BED. I did NOT rent a furnished unit. I didn’t even know if that was an option when I moved in! That line alone made me realize Tiger Plaza did not care what it was, they just wanted collections to get money from me so the complex could pocket whatever they could. After over a month after being in contact with Stephanie we finally got the bill fixed to $170 which was perfectly reasonable and what I expected for 4.5 years of living there. I was late on my rent maybe one time in the 4.5 years I was there and I even notified them of it. I never caused trouble. You would think they would have treated me better than that. What caused me to write this review today? I currently live in a wonderful apartment complex, that actually takes care of their tenants and unfortunately remembered this poor experience I had that started off so great in 2013. After reading these more recent reviews, please don’t waste your time here."
