"They have declined to pay for Mtx ( Methotrexate) citing the need for prior authorization. The issue is, it isnt on the list from Medicare of 243 medications that need that authorization from Medicare. In addition to the woman who followed up appears to fall into the catagory of dumb blonde haired bimbo. She was following a script of how BCBS is going to ruin my life and enact a early death because of their insistence hiring people with limited brains and a vocabulary that is just as lacking. AI just plain illogical, but utterly profitable. Dmards are not on the list, but is considered to be like biologics are on the list. Two distinctly different classes of drugs It's imperative that pharmaceutical employees KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. And the the pharmacy Walgreens just a bunch of losers like BCBS. They don't follow the rules Medicare enacted, lazy and stupid."
"The best insurance in Louisiana! I've worked with my agent for years! He's always looking out for my needs and I am welcome with any questions or help I need! I have a couple of insurance policies and they're always there for me!"
"I cannot get my medication approved for two days. I pay too much for the services that I cannot get"
"I just called to get information about enrolling and instead of the guy helping me , he hung up in my face...he was very rude and if he was close to me, i would slap him"
"If I could give them less than one star I would. I was hospitalized in December 2017 and under medical care through February 2018. Although I was treated for multiple issues at the time, while I was waiting to be released from the 2nd hospital one of the medical students gave some outdated medical history and once Blue Cross became aware of a bariatric surgery I had 18 years prior to this hospitalization at that point Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana began to stop approving medical assistance while I was still hospitalized. Because I was so deathly ill, the doctors and my family felt it would be in my best interest to go to an aftercare facility before being sent home. I couldn’t walk without falling,Mandy I had hit my head several times and passes out from the falls. I couldn’t take care of myself, I could barely make it to the bathroom and back into bed. The hospital has no choice but to release me with home health coming by my house. I received a bill from the second hospital I was in and contacted BCBSLA and I was told that although they could see there were other reasons I was being treated, one reason was a copper deficiency myelopathy and they had Dr. Barfield, one of the medical universities students on record stating it was a possibility it may have resulted from the bariatric surgery I had 18 years ago. While going through the appeal process, I have come to find out that there are several factors that can contribute to a copper deficiency because they can be quite rare. My GastroIntestinal doctor is currently treating a patient with a copper deficiency and the only medical condition we have in common is IBS. Within the past fifteen years, I have had at least ten surgeries on my colon due to a fistula that would just not go away. I was honestly worried they were going to have to remove my colon and put me on a colostomy bag for life. When I contacted BCBSLA to check on my 2nd appeal, they said they had never received it. When I provided to BCBSLA the date I called, the time I called, and the representative I spoke with that told me my 2nd appeal had been received and the date, BCBSLA said they would get back to me. BCBSLA called me the next day and my 2nd appeal that Blue Cross said the day before was never submitted, magically appeared over night. However, the appeals committee decided the information seemed to similar to the 1st appeal so they decided they were not going to consider it as my 2nd appeal and they just filed it with my 1st appeal. I asked them were they planning on notifying me or was I just supposed to be expected to mind read this knowledge from them? I asked if I could get my outside review by panel of doctors and BCBSLA told me no because I had missed the deadline of submitting my 2nd appeal. This just doesn’t get any better. The representative told me that I could write a letter, a grievance of the situation with everything that happened with my 2nd appeal. I told them you people are purposely wasting my time because legally I’m getting closer to the date I was hospitalized a year ago. And when I gave BCBSLA information with more in-depth information of my current medical history because I was unconscious for the first week I was transferred there and when I did start to come around I was experiencing crazy hallucinations, I wasn’t able to give them up to date medical information. So when I try to give them in-depth medical information like me having IBS and my specialist with over twenty years of medical experience is also currently treating an additional patient with same deficiency as I am, but did not have history of bariatric surgery and I tried to give BCBSLA the information my issues with my colon and the fistula and many surgeries that have been performed that have taken a toll on my colon and yet another specialist with twenty five plus years of experience in this field. BUT BCBSLA WOULD RATHER TAKE THE WORD OF A MEDICAL STUDENT AND CLOSE MY CASE OUT, VIOLATING MY ERISA RIGHTS, AND LEAVE ME WITH ALL THESE MEDICAL BILLS ALMOST OVER $200,000. That’s what you get."
