"We absolutely love central little school. We have never had an issue with communication. Any issues that do arise, Mrs Mary(owner) is very quick to take action & cease the problem! They are very understanding & hands on with our daughter who has CF! I love that both my children constantly come home with educational crafts & praises! 10/10 recommend!"
"The communication between parents and teachers is seriously lacking. If you have a concern, you have to go through the owner/director, who will likely then take it as a complaint and make you feel like you are being needy or overreacting. If you want to speak to a teacher, be prepared to have the owner sit over your shoulder the entire time making you feel very awkward. Direct requests for specific notifications regarding my child’s eating habits were rarely ever acknowledged and basically ignored. You must drop your child at the door and leave. You will never meet a teacher or see a classroom, unless you attend 1 of the 2 parties that parents are invited to throughout the year. I will say that the teachers I was able to meet over the years loved and cared for my child. However, the turnover rate is unbelievable, and you will NOT be notified if your child gets a new teacher or if one leaves. My child came home on multiple occasions with bite marks, scratches, etc. with no incident report or notification. There is no curriculum at all. You will likely get a color page every day of a random animal or number. Be prepared to pay random supply fees that are not included in the thousands of dollars you spend on tuition a year. I was told these fees were for “toilet paper, copy paper, art supplies, etc.”, even though I paid over $180/week (over 9k/year). All in all, I would not recommend this daycare to any parent that wants to know what is happening on a day-to-day basis. After the 1-year-old class, you will receive no daily paper updates or anything. While this may work for some, it did not work for us. A simple task such as updating parents on what the child eats, when they actually nap, their behavior for the day, etc. would make a world of difference for this center. Finally - the thing by that validated our decision to leave was that it was never a concern to the owner. We were never asked what the issue was. We were never questioned as to our needs, concerns, what could be fixed…nothing. I got an “ok perfect” from the owner when I told her that my child was leaving, after he had been there for 3 years. There was zero care for my child or my family. That speaks for itself."
"The owner is really not a good fit to run a daycare. There is ALOT of turnover with the teachers. IE: I went to my sons Thanksgiving party he had one teacher. One month later at the Christmas party was a completely different teacher. The owner takes questions and concerns from parents as "complaining". You are not allowed to walk your child into their room, and especially do not ask to see your child once they are in their room. Good luck meeting your teachers my son went there for 2 years and I only met a teacher at his Thanksgiving and Christmas party this year. Your child can have some type of accident it is 50/50 whether you will get an accident report. Your child can tell you one thing and the owner will tell you another and if you side with your child she will most likely tell you "children lie all the time". I'm sure some have had better experiences than most, but this is not the best daycare out there I know that first hand. Enroll at your own risk."
"My daughter has been going to central little school since she was 8 weeks old . I have to brag on them for a minute. I know they work with the children from infant to preK Ava always came home talking, singing they even do VBS with them . I can honestly say I have not 1 bad experience. But she went to Kindergarten testing yesterday and they said she was reading , knew a lot of material. I know that all comes from this center and the time they spend teaching these kids. Thank all of you so much for loving my baby !"
"It’s very nice and clean with staff who care about the kids, but communication is seriously lacking. I rarely saw my baby’s teachers or went to his room, so it was very difficult to communicate. The only person I really got to talk with was the director, which brought on many issues that could’ve been easily handled if the communication was there. I felt like choices I made for my child were not always respected. I will leave it at that."
