"My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Bill and Mary's place! We wanted a peaceful getaway and it was exactly what we needed. We were right across the street from the Caddo lake NWR, which was where we did a lot of kayaking. The room was perfect and our hosts were amazing. Bill gave us some helpful tips on where to kayak and it didn't disappoint! Couldn't have been a better stay!"

"Cozy little one room suite with all the amenities we needed. Our college aged daughter had a Harry Potter closet all to herself. It was our home base for the five days we explored the area. The state park is a 3 minute drive. The wildlife refuge is practically across the street. Shreveport, Jefferson, and Marshall are all easy drives from here. The price is too modest for the value, but that’s our little secret! Look forward to our next visit!"

"My friends are I stayed in this cabin for two nights and rented their canoe. The cabin is very nice and comfortable with all the needed supplies. Mary and Bill are exceptional hosts. They accommodated our early schedule and launch place and set up the canoe nicely for three adults. Bill even drove a long way to guide us to his secret beautiful spots. "Just got back from our second visit to this little gem. GREAT trip and a great place to stay. Lots of little amenities both inside the Hideaway and outside, including free firewood for a nice evening fire out back. This place is 5 minutes away from Caddo Lake State Park, and Caddo National Wildlife Preserve. Be sure to eat at The Rusty Mule, Big Pines Lodge, and Shady Glade Cafe on the lake. We're already looking forward to going back!"
