"I have been going here for years, but now there has been a lot of issues with this establishment. Medications that I have been on forever are now a problem to get filled. They want to change my whole treatment plan that works for me and has been working for me for a very long time.. let’s try new things and then after you try it and it does not work they don’t want to give you what was working in the first place.. No thanks time for me to find a new place to take myself and my family to. If I could give them 0 I would patient care is not what they are best at!!!"
"I’ve been a patient here since 2018 and have always had great experiences. Today I had my first bad one. I called to book an appointment and the receptionist was extremely rude. She did not let me finish my sentences, continued to cut me off, was blowing her breath at me. I almost addressed her attitude but with an attitude like that I’m sure plenty have done so already. I will call back tomorrow and hopefully I can speak with someone different to book my appointment. Working as a receptionist I am always kind and patient with my clients. I wish I could say I was treated the same today."
"Been trying to get in touch with my Primary Care Dr for 3 going on 4 days. Was diagnosed with Covid been having severe chest congestion. And I have to watch when I have chest congestion because most of the time it will go into bronchitis. I also want to find out if she can give me a referral for the infusion. Was told I need a referral. Called everyday. Nurse called this morning saying she wants to see me. I told her that I have Covid. She said that they did not include that in the message. Said she will talk to her and call me back. That was at 9:00am this morning. Now it is 5:37 pm and nothing. This is not the first time I have had trouble getting her to call me back. The last time it took a week for her to call back. She said that I need to go to the ER. I was admitted. Soon as I am over Covid I will be looking for a new primary care Dr."
"Good: when I first started here several years ago I saw an excellent physician, Dr Gonzaga, however that Dr. moved. The staff at the front desk are friendly. Bad: The other doctors I have seen are doing their residency here. They have varied from dismissive to rude to inattentive. I’m currently waiting on a prescription that was supposed to be taken care of 2 days ago, on a day the doctor I normally saw suddenly disappeared (the nurses and other staff mentioned this outside the door thinking I couldn’t hear it), and they had to find another doctor to see me. I had an ECG with Doppler ordered 2 weeks ago, and am still waiting for the results!!! I’ve called multiple times asking Dr. Anderson for them but have not received a callback even though I’ve been told I will, and have no way of getting the results! If you have any health issues other than just general maintenance this is not the place for you, and I’m surprised that anyone still goes here, and I no longer will be!"
"The staff makes a lot of mistakes. Not sending in orders for tests. Random people call and tell you what to do. I was given a sample of diabetes medication on my first visit. I don’t have diabetes. The hospital lost my blood tests and I had to redo them. I was put on a blood pressure medicine that causes anemia to get worse. They never discuss treatment options with you - it is there way or the highway. A few of the RNs are rude. They will double your medication without a doctor coming in the room. They do not explore underlying causes. My first mammogram was done wrong. I had to redo it and pay out of pocket for their mistake. The purpose is to diagnose you with a chronic condition so that you have to come in every month or three months and eventually get admitted into the hospital. Recently they didn’t send in my mammogram order or the hospital lost it. It is just a mess over there. They get really mad when you refuse treatment and ask for a second opinion. Acupuncture cured my high blood pressure, but I am still dealing with the after effects of the medicine I was taking. They don’t explain the side effects. If you want to get on medicine and hospitalized at East Jefferson, this is the place to go. I would much prefer a doctor unassociated with the hospital because East Jefferson makes a lot of mistakes and there is a communication breakdown between the doctors and hospital even though they are right next door."
