Lake Urgent Care - Denham Springs

"The absolute worst. Least professional staff in any medical setting I've ever been to. A red headed lady called me to the exam room, and told me Alise would be right with me. I asked her if that was who had seen me on my last visit. She said yes and I asked if anyone else was available because the last visit didn't help. She said "Alise is great, and she will be with you soon" and ran out of my room quick as she could to run and tell Alise what I'd said. I visited with alise, told her my concerns, and the visit went well. Then a nurse came in to give me a steroid shot, and I asked if I would be tested for covid or the flu. Nurse left out and asked alise.. ***this is where it gets good **** Alise comes in my exam room and actually sits down, looks me in the face and asks me "ok what's the problem now? Because you've already told the nurse that I didn't please you last time, and I don't know what to do to make you happy". That messy little unprofessional red headed lady's finest work of the day, I'm sure. I told her - Since I have cough, congestion, sore throat, draining ears (from the earache I seen you about 2 weeks go for) and a headache, wouldn't I need to be tested for flu, covid, or strep? --just to know so I don't spread it?? I have kids and if they've been exposed, need to keep them away from others for the weekend at least ... Her response is that she does those tests all day and it's more likely just bronchitis -so we will just treat it like that. I just told her to please give me my steroid shot and let me leave. I got sick of arguing and wasting my time. I will never ever go back."

"Great staff but they never answer the phone. They answer after 20 rings if they answer and keep you on hold indefinitely. I got a semiglutide shot but I didn’t feel anything at all which was pretty weird this was my first time going there. I didn’t see any evidence of the shot being given but maybe the lady giving the shot was that good because I felt not even a prick and also The receptionist could be a lot more friendly to new patients but she wasn’t mean or anything. Just my thoughts but the person that took my blood and the PN that saw me were great."

"I went in with severe kidney pain that I had for weeks, I was so scared because of the level of pain, and my severe fatigue. I thought for sure they couldn’t help. They took their time to take X-ray, and thoroughly review to truly find the culprit. I feel a million times better. They listened to my concerns, and fixed the problem, couldn’t be happier. Thank you Dr. Erwin!"

"While our care there was fine and the time it took to check in and be seen wasn’t long, the patient room was very hot and we left misdiagnosed. My two year old came in, full of snot, cough, red throat. No swabs were done and sent home with “it’s just allergies”. After staying up all night as he cried and couldn’t sleep, wheezing and coughing, I got him in with his pcp and we have RSV.. not allergies."

"Horrible customer service! Attitudes from nurses, there was a handicapped person that needed a wheelchair outside and the front desk clerk would not help them or call anyone, I grabbed the door , when it swung open & saw the wheelchairs hidden behind a locked door, I physically had to go get the gentleman & roll him in. No one ever stepped up!! That being said, Once the doctor arrived, everything was awesome. He was phenomenal. It was quick and painless from then forward, I’ve always had good experiences here:) But, this by far was the worst in the beginning!"
