"Family oriented, friendly, courteous staff in a clean environment. I had a very good experience and felt like the staff actually cared about me. I felt like i was part of the family and not just another patient. I would most definitely recommend Bethesda Rehab hospital for your rehabilitation needs."
"While the therapists are knowledgeable and professional. The facility it's self as well as the nursing staff, have miles of room for improvement. The nursing staff are not knowledgeable when it comes to the importance of the when's and why's of medication. Most of the nurses are not professional. I actually had one nurse to hand me the medication and tell me to give it to my loved one in thirty minutes. The patients rooms are not cleaned regularly(the floor has not been swept or mopped in better than a week). Bed linens are not cleaned regularly (the bed has not been changed in better than a week, that they know of. I changed it myself). Also dirty towels and linen have sat in the bathroom for days because no one checks. No trash is emptied (when asked about taking the trash, the aid hands me a trash bag and tells me to gather it and sit it outside of the door when I'm finished). Each employee that is asked to do anything explains that the last shift should have completed the task. To be fair there are two to three CNA's that attempt to maintain the facility. However on their off days, everything goes to hell in a hand basket. I had one LPN literally verbally attack me when I asked if the building was equipped with a back up generator. After telling me she didn't know if the building had a generator or not, nor was she aware if they had portable oxygen tanks, she asked what would we have done if we were at home. I would only recommend this facility to an individual who has an abundance of patience and a family member prepared to stay with the patient, around the clock and serve as a volunteer employee. I did reach out to the owner of the facility who instead of listening and attempting to gather information that would grow his establishment, found every excuse as to why things happened the way they did. At one point he explained that because they are a black owned facility, "black folks" expect a Taj Mahal experience."
