"We went to see Dr Shawn Spinks (Hooper BRG facility) because the wife was experiencing shortness of breath. After his 30-45 minute examination his professional diagnosis was the wife had blood clots in her lungs. At Baton Rouge General on Bluebonnet it was confirmed that she has a significant number of blood clots in her lungs (pulmonary embolisms) causing right ventricular strain of her heart. She was admitted to the ICU and they began administering blood thinners with constant observation. She is recovering nicely and Dr Spinks likely saved my wife’s life. Spot on diagnosis!
