"Had a couple tests yesterday at GIS on Mabel. My appointment was at 8:15. I wasn’t called back until after 9:30. It’s bad enough to sit there for over an hour, but going without food since noon the day before and no liquids all morning, it was rough. When I finally got back there, everyone was very kind. All went well. I do feel like they hurry you out there door though. And you can’t have anything to drink until you get dressed."
"The receptionist were very professional and courteous. The nurses were awesome. Finally, The anesthesiologist and the doctor explained what would take place before I was sedated for the procedure. Good kind-hearted people to be around. In about 3 days the nurse called me and gave me the results of my procedure and that was great. I would recommend Gastrointestinal Specialist to any one."
"I went in for a colonoscopy and barely sat down before they called me back, they were very kind, comforting and I was through and on my home in no time. No complaints."
"I was pleased with my treatment and I liked my doctor dr.provenza will keep using him in the future if needed."
"Between November 2022 and December 2022 my husband was in and out of the hospital 4 times with severe abdominal pain and other concerning symptoms. He has a history of appendiceal cancer. After 3 months of being misdiagnosed by GIS and numerous times hearing, "the cancer isn't back," it was finally discovered by a colorectal surgeon that his cancer was indeed back and was now stage 4. My husband went to GIS several times after being released from the hospital, never once even saw an actual MD. I wish we would've sought out a second opinion sooner as those 3 months were valuable in battling this type of cancer. I also wish GIS would've taken his history of cancer more seriously and educated themselves on this very rare and aggressive cancer."
