"Honestly, super disappointed that their website says they strive to be the best office in Beaumont. They couldn’t even call me back to tell me they are not accepting my insurance at the moment. After filling out the new patient form online, I was told to allow 24 hours before somebody reaches out to me. I waited 72 hours before I called, to be on hold for two minutes just so someone can tell me they do not accept my insurance at the moment. The sad thing is, this was my first option, and if their communication is a picture of how they handle things, I am glad I didn’t get to set this appointment. I’m sure the doctors are more than great, if you can get past the very rude and passive, aggressive receptionists."
"Honestly very disappointed. I am 39 weeks pregnant with my first pregnancy and have been going to this office since the beginning due to the fact that it was supposed to be the best place. The staff is down right rude. Every time I’ve had to call I’ve been put on hold straight away and never picked back up on. Just last week I called to try and reschedule my check up around 15-20 min after their office opened and they answered the phone by putting me on hold. With this being my first pregnancy I would’ve have thought that the nurses practitioner(because I only ever saw dr evans 2 times my entire pregnancy) would’ve taken my concerns or any of my questions seriously. But no every time I had a concern or such it just got pushed aside like “oh this doesn’t matter” and they treat you like you are the stupidest person. I would have thought I would be seeing the actual doctor more then just the two times but no he was never even there. Another thing I was very disappointed about was that I didn’t even get my first ultrasound till 22 weeks which being my first pregnancy I would’ve thought I would have gotten one sooner. I don’t recommend this place and I will not be finishing out my pregnancy or having my baby with this office or doctors at all. If this place was ever any good it definitely isn’t any more."
"The staff have been rude to me every time I called this week and last week to see if they got a referral for a tubal ligation that was sent weeks ago. The person from the referral dept is either never there, or they say she's busy. The first person who took my message said they would call me back but when I asked if she needed my number, she hung up. A couple days later I called back and when i said what happened some younger girl started snickering for the rest of the phone call. Called back the next day and when I told this older woman what happened she tried to blame the snickering on patients or other staff members. Then she told me with my clinic that the doctors wouldn't usually see me until six months and to go to the website to fill out a new patient form. I've asked my clinic to refer me elsewhere. Also- Waddell delivered my son in 2013 and was amazing. Evans was the on call Dr for my daughter in March of 2020 and was absolutely horrible. He rolled his eyes and lectured me about requesting delayed cord clamping and placenta for encapsulation and how it was dumb. Then when he went to take out the Foley bulb it was taking too long and the nurse told him she actually gave him the wrong size syringe so he yanked it out of my body, which caused me to scream in pain. Same time the BP cuff went off and because it was high he put me on magnesium. Love Waddell but this place has gone downhill with the staff and with Dr Evans being there."
"I love dr evans he delivered both my babies. The appointment lady has the worst attitude and I tried so hard to get on her good side it never mattered. I’ve seen Facebook threads about how terrible this woman is. How many bad reviews about her do you have to get till something is done. Either fire her or put her in a position where she doesn’t have to talk to people."
"Dr. Ricky Evans is awesome. His incision from my C-section healed amazingly. I wish I would’ve had him for my first one. He’s got great bedside manner too. The NP they have on staff is nice and good bedside too, just not as experienced. The office staff is short and often hard to hear on the phone, but never rude. They don’t call you to remind you of appointments. You have to follow up on things yourself. If you’re getting an IUD and they don’t call to schedule it after a week, make sure to call and check in on the status. I never had appointments changed without my consent. There is a phlebotomist on site as well as an ultrasound tech, never need to leave the office for either! The office is good about following COVID guidelines and wears masks properly. They do a good job of getting you seen quickly."
