"Everyone there is extremely caring. Jessica is the most caring doctor! Give her a try !"
"You set for hours at a time if you have appointments @8am they will call you to the back to see a doctor do vitals sign and weigh you then that’s 11am and you set in the back another hour and half they have poor service I’m in the nursing field and it’s ridiculous I start going to Minden and later switched to Shreveport the receptions at the front desk are rude from time to time. I refuse to use my insurance card there"
"I absolutely love the Doctors and staff at CFMC. Most of them have been working there so long that they seem to know all of their patients well. They are a busy clinic but they try to get you in and out as quickly as they can. I feel they definitely care about their patients."
"Best doctors and nurse practitioners in Claiborne Parish."
"First off if you have no insurance they will tell you that they are not taking any new patients. You will not be able to see a doctor, you will have to see a nurse practitioner and will have to beg for that. Be prepared to wait over and hour but more like two or three. The receptionist and the staff will lie to you to get more money out of you. I was once a patient years ago. Went in for minor medical issues and was told that it had been too long since i had been in and i had to pay $75 to have a new file because they had no records. I agreed, went in and the physician came in(after a long wait with an empty parking lot) and began to read old information from a large folder. I said i thought you had no records. The physician realized i had caught them, closed the folder and said oh uh this is all we have, refering to the last sentence said. Went back a few years later, got some non-narcotic prescriptions with plenty of refills. Never used one refill and then i needed medication two months after the refills expired. Alls i needed was the physician to ok it by fax to the pharmacy, but the receptionist refused and said i must come in(pay money). I said i would like to speak to the doctor. Was sent to a voicemail. Left a message. Was called back by the receptionist the next day and once again she tried to make me come in(pay money), i said i knew it was the money they wanted and was told no theres a law that requires a certain number of "notes". As i was asking for an explanation of this law, i was interupted with her asking me to make an appointment once again(money). I jokingly said i would have to get medication off the street i guess and was told ok thats fine. So lets get this staight, these people do not want to help you, they do not care if you get meds of the street(possibly tainted or fake), they just want your money or they will not let you even speak to a medical professional. Do not go here. Go to Emergent Care in Minden. You will spend the same money and see a real doctor who really cares about you whether you have insurance or not. Homer is a dying town and Claiborne Family Medical Clinic will show how much they dont care about it and you."
