"First time I went there, Kat was my ostomy nurse and she was fantastic! This second time, however, was not a good experience at all. The newer nurse was apathetic and very unprofessional. The nurse was sloppy in her work and said “It’s trial and error.” Not understanding how upsetting a leaking appliance can be, I called her out on it. To which she replied “I know more than you think.” The doctor in the room laughed and said to the nurse “yeah you do know more than she thinks.” I was shocked she was chuckling when I was visibly upset enough to speak up. Then the doctor started giving me all kinds of compliments, to which I am sure she was trying to suck up knowing I wasn’t happy. At the end of my appointment the doctor asked me if I got the shot. I was puzzled but my mom caught on and said “are you asking her if she got the vaccine and that is what gave her cancer?” The doctor did not respond! I couldn’t believe this! I have stage 4 cancer, was in remission for 2 years, and the doctor knew this. But she wasn’t smart enough to figure out that the vaccine was only available to the public 25 months prior to that day I was in her office. I had cancer before the vaccine. Shame on y’all for bringing conspiracy theories into patient care. All around horrible experience. Won’t be back."
