"Always loved this location. It’s neat and clean and I never experienced anyone being rude. It’s not a minimum wage sales job where a door bell goes when you come in to prompt them to say “hello welcome to the public library, can I help you?” They are often busy and librarians have masters degrees and should be treated as such, not as if they are salesman working retail."

"Good library, not in your face. Hello! It's a gorgeous library with fun stuff set up for kids and teens. Some cool chairs in the teen section for if you like to recline or sit at a weird angle (and normal chairs too, of course). Also the tail end of a cadillac that you can sit in to read. Worth visiting just for the aesthetic -- South has a nature theme, this one has a cars / cities / transportation theme, with fake manhole covers in the kids' bathroom floor, things like that. Very pretty. Others on here have said the staff were rude to them, but I've never had that problem, even after many months of going. They're just not always trying to talk to you, which I like. But if you ask them for anything they'll go to great lengths to help you."

"I’ve been visiting the Lafayette Public Libraries since there was still one located in Time Plaza. I love it and have always had good experiences at each location I’ve visited… but not this one. I’ve been multiple times with my family and we are always treated coldly. The staff is rude, and I don’t even know if it’s intentionally or not at this point. They don’t greet you or even bother responding to “have a great day.” Clearly people have had good experiences here but I never have. It is certainly a beautiful facility but I don’t feel welcome here and I won’t be returning. Highly recommend the Johnston St location instead."
