Reviews of Raising Cane's River Center Arena
"I'm shocked that there are positive reviews for this place, especially for hockey games. I used to go to the Kingfish games, and even back then it was lackluster. But the experience last night with the new hockey team was embarrassingly bad. I don't know if it's the River Center or the team who hires the cameraman, but he must have either been having seizures or on drugs. The lights were dim on the ice and bright on the audience. There was a person directly in front of us who was VAPING during the game. There was also someone directly behind us vaping. You mean to tell me there's no security in this place? I don't think there is, because a fan actually threw a full can of beer onto the ice to an opposing team member. Beer spilled all over the ice and the fan just laughed and clapped and was never dealt with. Worse, the ice was never cleaned from the beer spill. I guess that's par for the course in Baton Rouge: lawlessness and zero consequences. Another thing: I don't know who the River Center people think they are implementing an illegal policy like making this a cashless venue. Someone surely had to know that every piece of cash currency in America says, "This note is legal tender for all debts, public and private." Furthermore, it is FEDERAL LAW: 31 USC 5103: Legal tender "United States coins and currency (including Federal reserve notes and circulating notes of Federal reserve banks and national banks) are legal tender for all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues. Foreign gold or silver coins are not legal tender for debts.""
"I don't go to concerts often. This one was very good, but the venue was sorely lacking. The seats all leaned forward so you were in a constant squat. I thought they were going to break altogether. And did I mention it was HOT?! Okay, Louisiana is hot and we have been having super heat, but today was 79 degrees when we got there. It was at least that inside. If I can avoid going here again, I will."
"We went here to see From Ashes to New, Three Days Grace, and Shinedown. Other than the seating being a bit cramped and the $20 parking charge it was an awesome show!"
"DINO QUEST 2022 Super cool, make sure you buy the all access pass or your child will not be allowed to participate in any activity as far as games and bounce houses and rides. Premium pass is only a few more dollars when bought in advance. You have to buy tickets in advance, they say available at door but really sale out months in advance. Concessions are absurdly expensive and you get very little food Just for water bottle is $5 with no water fountains around to have free water etc. Once your there and if your child doesn't have the premium pass, they can only walk around and view the attractions which are amazing! But still when having the premium pass it allows for multiple more hours of play. It's worth it 100% for premium pass and make sure to order a month in advance. They do full pocket and bag searches upon entry with a metal detector and a wand detector so feels pretty safe once inside the building. They have workers and security around the building. Its very very nice. I highly advise going and bringing the kids, the dinosaurs look absolutely amazing and each year they have the same dinos plus more and they seem to upgrade there skins yearly as well. They have real fossils to check out including a full t rex skull and megalodon jaw with teeth. Plus several other small dinosaurs and egg fossils. Very cool just super expensive, comes once a year so worth it. I do advise going but make sure to buy premium pass for kids and to eat a good meal and drink befor you go if you are on a budget or don't wanna spend $20 on water and a nacho."
