Frenchmen Orleans at 519, Ascend Hotel Collection

"Wonderful hotel right on Frenchmen Street. You have walking access to fantastic live music, great coffee and delicious food. The hotel rooms are cozy, the staff friendly and accommodating. We'll be returning!"

"This is my favorite place to stay in New Orleans, it's on the other side of the quarter from Bourbon st (tourist trap and all drunk frat bros). Bamboulas is across the street from this hotel and there are several live music places within a 3 min walk. If you want jazz and blues, this is where you want to be!"

"This is a great suite of rooms right on Frenchman street. You'd think it would be loud with the music running till 2am all around, but it isn't. The staff is great and so helpful. The rooms are comfortable and really set up for living. Full kitchen, stocked and ready to cook, or reheat leftovers. Full showered bathroom. Love this place. Very centrally located, walk to anywhere from here. We will be back."

"If you are looking to be in the center of the action on Frenchman you will find it here. However, our room smelled extremely moldy upon arrival. I would describe it as somewhat clean, there was no housekeeping service throughout the weekend but we we charged $20 a day for it. Also, the hot tub was cold. We have been to New Orleans many times but this was our first trip to Frenchman St and probably our last. It is a cool area but there was no escaping the noise of the street from inside the room. At times it felt like we were sleeping inside one of the bars. For the $$$ I would recommend a larger hotel in the French Quarter that is cleaner, less moldy and more quiet."

"Very safe, clean, and near everything when walking. Limited parking and there is a fee to park. It is also extremely loud on the street from the clubs and bars but inside it is virtually quiet. There is a nice pool and hot tub. There is a cute fountain when u walk in and a balcony. Full kitchen. 2 tvs. The only thing was that there was limited towel racks and the space on the sink was limited. They do have a coffee maker and even gave dish washing detergent and dishwasher powder! Also gave is free water. There is a large gate to pass through prior to entry that is key controlled. The only thing was that there was no on site laundry but other than that we are enjoying our stay. So clean and peaceful"
