La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham New Orleans Airport

"The hotel now requires guest to pay $12.00 per day to park in their parking lot. If not paid it is towed away! The room I got smelled like a nursing home, had only a few towels, no hand soap and the window a.c./heat unit required constant adjusting and needs a good cleaning. One minute the room was too hot the next minute too cold. Also, very important: Twice this hotel did not return my damage deposit to credit card as promised which is now $250.00, it use to be $75.00. Call the front desk of hotel, not reservation line, after 7 to 10 business days and ask why they did not return your deposit. They will give you all types of excuses, like wait longer... etc. Both times, including on this recent stay, they returned deposit day of my call. Hmmm...interesting. I wonder how many never receive their deposit back because they trusted what they were told when checking into the hotel."

"This place was good enough to spend the night in close to the airport. Not a good location if your staying for a week or more for Mardi gra . It's very out dated the showers need work. Went to the little bar they have but the bar tender was so rude that we ended up leaving. Front desk agents didn't have extra towels or toilet paper. We was a family of 4 and they couldn't help us at all."

"The elevators sound and feel like they are going to break at any moment. The showers are disgusting and after traveling all I wanted to do was shower but I was not stepping foot in it! The pool looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in awhile. Stayed for one night and they hold $250 for a deposit. The AC sounded like it was on its last leg and couldn’t keep up. Walls are paper thin. If I could give a negative score I would. Pictures they have posted are not accurate. Booked because it was close to airport. Never again."

"A few details they do not include when you book a room online. The room deposit is $250 which cost more than the two nights we stayed. There is also a 3rd party parking fee. For our 2 day stay that was another $30. The bed was comfortable enough but could of used another pillow or two. As for the shower, the water can be described as someone who's flushing a toilet in a single plumbed home. The water would be scalding hot then in a blink it would return to a tolerable temperature then scalding again. I personally do not have an issue with extremely hot water, but could have been an issue for small child or elderly with thin skin. Outside of these few items the atmosphere and room were okay."

"Room had a HORRIBLE smell when we got in there. NO vent in the bathroom. Hair dryer wouldn't turn off; it had to be unplugged. Bathtub/shower area was disgusting - scum and dirt. Breakfast was pretty much waffles and cold cereal. The coffee dispensers were never full. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast attendant was rude."
