Reviews
"Take this review to heart. No communication between dr. and family. Care was not up to standards. I remember when nurses used to care. Its just a job now. I would advise if at all possible, never leave your loved ones alone."
"Empathy is lacking among the nurses and aides. They spend their money on bare minimum machines. So if a machine goes down, all patients in the hospital must wait until it gets fixed. Instead of big salaries and bonuses for executives, how bout they funnel that money into the budget for backup machines."
"Everyone has been professional taking care of our aunt. My main complaint is parking. I am 70 years old and it is difficult and painful with arthritis to walk from parking garage. Maybe consider valet like Baptist Hospital. That is a nice feature. to find a parking spot. It is very hard to walk from garage"
"EMT called me a different name while registering me at the check in desk. When I said my actual name correcting him he just laughed and said I know. That was weird and confusing to me. Triage nurse was extremely rude to everyone and did not care that his expressions showed that. They took forever to get me in the back somewhere even though what they thought I had was chicken pox. I thought when you have a contagious disease you should isolate that person and not leave them with the general public. Then this lady came out named Janice, who was partnered with the acute emergency room nurse. She took me into a room to "look" at me. Even though she expressed to me that she was indeed not a nurse and wouldn't even know what to do for me. She sat me down in another area just to come back for me to move me to her area. Gave me swab tests and sat me in the waiting area for some more time where eventually they brought more patients around me. I didn't know what I had when I went in but hopefully nobody else got the chicken pox for their poor decisions. When it came time to discharge me, Janice and the other nurse took me into the room. The other nurse explained to me there was nothing to do about chicken pox and I would just have to ride it out which is fine. They left the room and said they'll be back. When Janice returned with my discharge paperwork, I wanted to clarify there was no type of antiviral medicine or antibiotics that I could get, and her response is what brought it to the top for me. Mind you I am not skilled in this area and I just wanted some clarification. Janice took this situation and rudely was like "No! I was in here when she told you what needed to be done!" This took me off guard and I did not understand why she reacted the way she did. I expressed this and asked her why all of a sudden she was being rude and she had nothing to say. This is not how you treat patients when they are ill. The whole process was a terrible experience and wouldn't recommend at all!"
"I have been here 11 days. The nurse and doctor staff on the 6 floor have been awesome. Doctors saw me multiple times a day and out of the 8 nurses 7 would get a great recommendation. The only issue I have had it the food service was very poor, not a single order taken the day before matched what I got, most of the food was poor quality and 9/10 meals were wrong or incomplete."
