LaSalle General Hospital 187 9th Street, Jena, LA 71342

"Lack of compassion for elderly...my mother had clearly been abused by her "caregivers" and was lethargic badly bruised, and had been neglected to the point of not being able to control her bowels, feed herself, or even hold her head up. She had been tied, with what looked like a robe belt, to her wheelchair to prevent her from falling out, AGAIN!!!! The only thing this so called "ER Doctor" did was, check her for an ear infection and sent her home !!! Law Enforcement had even been involved 100%, even instructing the hospital not to release her to anyone, except for her daughter (me). Luckily, I went to see her (after being told I wasn't allowed there because I had previously been suspicious of rapid weight loss of my mom and just a total demeanor change in her...if I had not acted when I did she probably would have been dead within a week ......this so called hospital needs to be shut down and investigated ....I pleaded with the staff to help her, but they just kept jerking on her forcing her to move quickly and clearly seeing they were hurting her, with repeated pleading from myself telling them that she was expressing pain..but they continued to not handle her with care ....I'm disgusted with the whole lot of them. Exception given to 1 nurse, who actually was concerned and started asking what had happened to her, because clearly what was wrong with her was not even a simple a fall or 2 ....I pray for anyone that has to endure what my mom is going thru and may God have mercy on the ones that condone elderly abuse."

"This hospital and staff are a blessing to those in its community. The staff is caring, compassionate, and listens to the concerns of patients and families; the hospital is very clean. I recommend this hospital."

"MY DAUGHTER WAS JUST THERE AND THEY REFUSED HER A CT SCAN TO CHECK FOR APPENDICITIS, WENT TO HARDTNER AND THEY SAID SHE HAS APPENDICITIS! Worst hospital and staff I’ve ever seen. It should be shut down!"

"I brought my little brother here one night and the head nurse was very rude . Like if she doesn’t want to be at work she needs not the be there. The way people feel the need to be rude for no reason is beyond me . I will never come back to this Er. I don’t recommend anyone to receive treatment from this Er."

"The nurse was rude as hell about a mask I simply asked if she could get someone to check me in to see the doctor. She yelled at me about a mask when I tried to tell her I would grab one from the admin desk sitting on the corner. Relax Karen you're not that special you are a nurse at a band aid station in a small town. Apparently looking like a painted up clown make you think look amazing Karen go sit down"
