"Got my tickets online like I usually do several days ago... Went to get in my seats and there were people already in them. Thought they were in the wrong seats but they had the same seats reserved. They double booked my seats. Say the least.. I was the one that ended up leaving. First come first served for the double booked seats I guess. Cinemarks new way of doing business. Asked to speak to a manager but lady I talked to ( Elexis ) said the manager wasn't there. Figures"
"I bought tickets for my wife and I to see Dune nearly a month in advance, showed up to the screening tonight to find people sitting in our seats because the cinema sold multiple copies of our seats and others. After waiting in line to talk to the manager, we were given the choice of taking other seats, but the only ones left were the practically unwatchable front row seats, seats in one of the other, smaller screens, or a refund. Those are the only options in a situation like that, I get it, so we chose the refund. There are two main reasons I'm giving a one-star review: 1) When I checked the receipt, I saw they shorted my refund by $4.10. The manager said that was the online booking fee and was non-refundable, despite the whole ordeal being their fault. I had to call corporate to get them to refund the remainder, and even they tried shorting me almost a dollar. I had to do the math for them. I shouldn't have had to jump through any hoops to get a full refund for a service I did not receive. 2) The manager's attitude was awful. I understand he was dealing with a lot of angry people who may not have been acting very civil, but I was polite when I asked for a refund. I didn't appreciate the dismissive way he pointed to the ticket booth and his tone of voice throughout the entire conversation. When I went back in to ask about the refund shortage, he was incredibly rude and offered no solution. Sorry buddy, but keeping ANY amount of my money in this situation is unacceptable. I called corporate on my own initiative, who told me the local cinemas aren't able to refund those fees. If the manager had bothered explaining that himself and advised me to call them, I might have left the encounter with a little more respect for him as a person, but the absolute lack of respect and courtesy was unacceptable. I understand that we live in an imperfect world and glitches happen. If Cinemark had handled this one differently, I'd have come back later this week to see the film with no hard feelings, but I won't be returning to Tinseltown or any other Cinemark location. This company has lost my business. EDIT: The disingenuous copy/paste reply from Cinemark shows how much attention they pay to these reviews. What else is there to say? All the details are right there in the review, including the fact that I already had to call corporate to get a full refund. "Less than stellar"? What an absurd understatement. I'm not wasting any more time with Cinemark."
"It has changed so much over the years I was an employee when it was Tinseltown and hadn't even opened yet we were getting it ready it was fun it was fun when I went tonight they now serve wine it's expensive lg popcorn lg drink box of candy 20 dollars but I just enjoyed the movie and hanging with friends it was great"
"Went to see an unadvertised movie, the theater was packed with American Patriots. Confirmed with solid evidence and proof, everything each of us there already knew. Last time we were here, was to watch a Madea movie. Seats were newer then. They could do with a refresh."
