"Besides the amazing employees can we just talk about THE DELI, I dont know how this place isn't a big store all over lafayette. I drive all the way out there for the deli! For starters the sandwiches, for 1 sammich its 2 dollars and some change they put so much meat in it I make 2 full sandwiches out of it the pools I make 4, yes I dont like alot of meat, but if you do the sandwiches here are fir you and the meat is delimeat not store bought. The poboys i get 4 sandwiches out of it! Then the pasta salads omg are delish, I have tried everyone. The dinners are gourmet flavor dinners like restaurant worthy and decent priced theres not 1 in particular they are all 5 star. The crab and shrimp pasta so far is my favorite summer lunch. The bread is a whole other delicacy. I got Chinese food from that overpriced Chinese place down the road and rods saved us from starving from that horrible food. Luckily I stopped there while waiting for the food because we threw it all away and ate rods for dinner and I was not disappointed the food is fresh light and just restaurant quality. My favorite though is the employees, I always go in there looking homeless bc rods is where I go when I dont feel like cooking and am beat down from the day, these workers always make you feel like royalty and treat you like celebrities I just love this place so glad I found it cause I was leaving the hospital the va sent me too and am a regular now! I dobt usually leave a review unless I've experienced bad service but this place is worthy of all the attention they can get and more. Even if you're not in the area like me its worth the trip you won't be disappointed, going here is like visiting the PX on post they carry stuff regular store dont so if you cant find it at your local grocery you'll find it here or if you're haveing a bad day drive the 45 minutes its so worth the time but warning itll be a weekly routine just to experience the employees lol"

"Another great family business serving the Church Point community. Great selection, there’s prepared meals, meat department is fantastic, wine and spirits of every kind. The staff is extremely courteous. I had a dead battery on my motorcycle some weeks back, one of the young staffers helped me try to jump start it, and when that failed even offered to give me a ride home. They employ some local people, support their community, and serve the people of Church Point. It’s businesses like this that ARE America, and it’s a pleasure to support them!"
