OYO Hotel Baton Rouge East I-12 Louisiana

"Horrible experience. Booked a room over the phone , go to the hotel within 10 minutes , got the room . As soon as I walked in the room I immediately saw roaches on the bed & in the bathtub . I didn’t even touch the bed , or mess up anything. Wasn’t even there for 30 minutes & they refused to give me a refund !!! I paid $60 for a room I didn’t even get to stay in !!! I’m highly upset. I’ve been going to this exact hotel for years now & have never had any issues. This is just ridiculous! That’s stealing !!! Oh how I wish I would’ve snapped a picture of the nasty insects first !!!"

"Frightening! At least it didn't have bed bugs! Smelled like smoke, cigarette burns on the sheets, cracked floors, cracked walls, cracked ceiling, running toilet, broken TV, couldn't figure out what white specks on the floor were - easy to find tho, right behind the Hustler Hollywood Video store! RUN from this place!"

"This place was absolutely terrible, I get the same you get what you pay for, but this is below even what you paid for. I don’t know if the room was haunted or what but I thought I heard people talking in my bathroom one night so I put my phone on record and walk out of the room and clear as day you could hear a man and a woman talking I went down to the office to show them and the lady acted like she had no interest in it, also they were roaches and one night a shooting the second night at a domestic violence situation my last night the cops pounded on my door at like 4 o’clock in the morning, saying that there was a lady screaming help from my room when in actuality, it was my neighbor. They also say on their website and there’s a sign in the office that if you pay for seven nights or more to get a fridge and a microwave, the same lady that had no interest in listening to the recording said that is not true we don’t have fridges in microwaves."

"I've been staying here for the past week or so while waiting for my new place to be ready. The night clerk is always fantastic she's super sweet and anytime I've had any issues like the TV not working she promptly fixed it. I had no problems til this morning. I went to try to extend. And the cost should have been $52 as I had a coupon and it has been consistently every time I've tried to extend. The older lady who works In the morning was so incredibly rude and was trying as hard as me. 80 bucks when I showed her. I had a coupon and it hadn't been that price for a week and a half now. She refused to give me the room at that price which is Crazy considering I can book a room for this evening And it be the fifty two dollar price. I've had no issues with anybody else. Except this one lady It was just so incredibly rude and honestly draws customers away."

"Most traumatic experience staying at a hotel in my life. I booked a stay at Oyo mid city, and Oyo is allowing you to book a room for a hotel that is no longer owned by the property only to find out after driving all the way there from Dallas that I did not have a reservation anymore because The hotel is no longer owned by Oyo. So I ended up staying at this disgusting hotel. Thinking we could tough it out for one night we get to the room because we are going to the LSU game and doing a tour of the college campus for my son, we put our things in the room and go to the game when we got back from the game it was very late, we went to get in bed and one of the beds had no sheet on it and the pillow top cover for the mattress had cigarette burns in it as well as a yellow substance and some red stains. I went to the night manager and showed her the pictures that I took of the bed and she said she would put some notes on my account and for me to call customer service and request a refund for my stay, she was very attentive to my concerns, and the only person that worked for the hotel that seemed to have common sense. She put us in another room for the night, and was very kind we could not go to another hotel because it was already about 12 or 1 AM and I had my son with me or I would have, we got into the new room and tried to use the bathroom only to find that the door to the bathroom was falling off the hinges and we could not open or close the door after going to bed. we woke up and the air conditioner front had fallen into the floor when I addressed these concerns with the front desk they told me that they could not submit a refund all I could do was call customer service after calling customer service. They called the front desk who informed them that they would only give us a 20% refund on the room. I informed them that I did not feel comfortable paying for a service that I did not receive. I did not receive a clean room. I did not receive a bathroom that I could use. I could not shower and I don’t feel like I should have to pay for the room and they insisted that they could only give me 20% back. This is the worst hotel, and it quite frankly. Should not be in business."
