"Old retired ‘70s’ish Quality Inn Convention Center not updated ever. That said our room was spacious w a good bed, flat screen, microwave coffee, usb ports & plenty of hot water. The abundant, smiling & completely helpful staff is what makes this place special… otherwise I’m sure it would feel more like hotel from “The Shining”. They have generous breakfast & added bonus of TV not set on Fox News. Doesn’t break the bank either. Not a great place, but a good place."

"Frankie was very friendly & made you feel welcomed 1st thing in the morning or in my case on the way to work. All staff was pleasantly warm,curiosity to my needs. Pet friendly is a plus. Food was good but needed to switch up from time to time. I would recommend staying there to colleagues, friends. If my job required me to stay I'd be there. P.S- Keep Frankie he is a delight in the mornings! U'd be stupid to get rid of him"

"I logged onto the site to check for pricing for an upcoming return trip to SF. I was surprised at the negative comments but recognize each of us have different experiences and differing expectations. I stayed there summer last by simple chance and was very happy with my stay. The room was clean, spacious, the bed comfortable - I don’t do TV - so. I didn’t note any comments about the free breakfast but found it to be superb - not just a continental thingy - but a full fledged southern feast! Free! I understand they also offer a free supper, but I didn’t try it as I like to dine out. The staff was friendly. I lacked nothing so can’t comment on their service. I did suggest to put anti-slip strips in the tub as it was quite slippery - like many hotels. SF is a truly unanticipated gem, steeped in history, great cuisine and fine southern hospitality. This hotel compliments it nicely. Hope to visit soon!"

"I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. Yes it is a older Hotel. But the staff is very friendly my room is clean with fresh towels. The hotel is well loved. Take it from somebody who travels for a living there's a difference between a run-down Hotel in a hotel that is older but they take care of what they have. As a worker I can't express how nice it is they have both a hot breakfast and a hot dinner. It's nice and secluded with a rather large pond. I will continue to stay here every time I pass through this part of Louisiana"

"I am currently sitting in a room with 1 of 3 lamps working, tv doesn’t work, no telephone in the room- had to call the front desk from my cell phone. Air conditioner sounds like it’s on its last leg. The room is musty with mildew on the curtains. My allergies are already in overdrive. I’m literally in disbelief. Nothing about this room resembles the photos of this hotel. I’m not sure what I was looking at when I booked this room, but I would have never booked this! It’s a busy weekend here in the area, so nothing else has vacancies. The desk person has offered to give us another room, so I’m hoping for improvement. I would not be able to recommend this place to anyone. Desk clerks were stressed but pleasant. That’s the best thing I can say for this place. I want to cry! Trying to leave the room and the door knob pulled off in my hand. I’m done!"
