"My husband and I traveled to New Roads for a fishing tournament. We booked our room a few weeks prior. The entire experience was wonderful, from start to finish! The room was impressively clean and smelled wonderful. It was the perfect size for the two of us. The courtyard is beautiful and the location is hard to beat! The public boat launch and numerous businesses within walking distance, including Morel’s restaurant, was a huge bonus! We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend Morel’s ❤️"

"Very tiny room. Soft spring mattress hurt my back. No senior discounts. Smoke alarm missing cover and battery, wasp nest in courtyard, mosquitoes breeding in stagnant fountain in courtyard(Aedes albopictus- the Asian Tiger mosquito, a vector of West Nile Fever-I know because I'm a retired mosquito biologist."
