"I had a wonderful stay at the Candlewood Suites in Beaumont, TX. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very pleasant to work with. The location was also ideal as it was right off the I-10."
"The room was awesome and smelled great, but the true benefit of the hotel for me was the staff. Aubrey checked me in and is truly an asset to this hotel. She was so friendly and a great communicator. I stay at hotels very very often for work and I think this was the best front desk experience I've ever had. Thank you for making me feel valuable and being so friendly. She helped me with my ihg account information and made sure I got my points even though my account has issues like an old bosses name on it. Was knowledgeable about parking (big truck) and had such a great personality. Really, if someone reads this, you should thank her for the job she is doing. Phenomenal!!"
"This place is horrible. If I were not so exhausted from my drive from Austin....I really wanted to just LEAVE! The smell, the air barely worked, and dirty. Good enough for one night if you are completely dog exhausted but NEVER again!"
"This place is on the older side and is desperately in need of renovation. The staff was great and accommodated me the best that they could. Outside my room, on the corner of the building, there is a camera with a little siren on top and a speaker. During the evening and all during the night, that camera/speaker goes off and says something to the effect of "You are in the alert area, please leave". I've looked out the window to see what set it off (assuming it's motion activated), but there is never anything there. It does this all through the night and can easily be heard laying awake in bed. It's not loud enough to wake me up, but if I wake up, I hear it again until I fall back asleep. I'm partially convinced this is some sort of psychological operations mission, but I can't figure out what the purpose of that would be. Other than that, the bed is comfortable, the couch is lumpy with random springs in weird areas, but was ok to lay on length wise, and the kitchenette came in handy. I didn't try to use the toaster until the day before I left, but it was broken. There is no breakfast here, free or paid, just nothing, which was a let down. The laundry is free, so that was nice, and the gym is nicely equipped."
