Oakwood Inn Oakdale

"Dead crickets surrounded the hotel and there were live crickets and lots of flies inside the room. No mattress cover just some very thin scratchy sheets. No doorknob on the bathroom door. Could not get the tv to work. People partying in the parking lot at night. We opted to drive 3 hours to go home rather than sleep here. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is we were allowed to check in early and the AC worked well."

"Room was clean and comfortable. A ton of outlets for your devices. They are remodeling and i stayed in a remodeled room. I was worried with the low price but was very happily surprised and will be staying again. If you need a clean basic room give them a chance. Bed was comfortable and air was cold. The rooms are simple clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. the air was cold. These rooms are not perfect but they are clean comfortable and safe. They are still undergoing renovations but the renovated rooms are very nice for the money. I have stayed at a more expensive hotel in town And after staying here and seeing the quality of the room, I will only be staying here. The other hotel that I normally stay at was sold out so I gave this place a try and I am so glad that I did. No breakfast as it is a motel and not a hotel. But there is a donut shop right next door."

"They're remodeling so it's a little bit cluttered. The rooms could be a little cleaner but besides that I liked motel. It seemed to be safe where it was located n for the price I paid I'm not going to complain! Well one complaint there wasn't a coffee maker or coffee in the room n no Kleenex."

"I'm from Oakdale, and went home for a reunion. We chose Oakwood Inn, and my Goodness, what a horrible decision. Filthy! Dusty! No toilet paper, and thank goodness I carry my own. Had to clean the place with my own Lysol, and the morning light allowed me to further see the trash all over outdoors, pool Green, and the lady there threatened to whoop me for asking for a blanket or extra sheet. I was so ashamed because I had a friend and my grandchildren with me, but all other rooms were booked for the night. I took pictures and I wish I could post them and even contact the owner, whom I'm praying is not aware of the condition his hotel is in, or the character of the management team. I will take this further because I was threatened and really felt paranoid with all that's happening. I would really appreciate a Full refund and maybe even compensation for such a horrible experience. I couldn't relax enough to sleep, I just watched over my grandchildren. So sad to go home to that."
