Reviews of El Pico de Gallo
"The food taste great but the service is terrible. I've given this restaurant many opportunities to redeem themselves before leaving this review but every time I come here, I get the same waitress. She is not professional, rude, and has a friggin attitude. They give you one small bowl of salsa that I can eat in less than 5 minutes so I asked for another one and they charged me $1!! Wth? I got 1 taco, 1 enchilada, and a drink and the total was over $9. That would be $5 in my home town. Nearly half the price. Then she had an attitude when I asked her what the charge was for. She said "first one free, second one charge" and then laid my receipt down and walked away. I never once had an attitude with her. Totally uncalled for. I was the only customer in the whole place (that speaks for itself). It's dark and gloomy, no music. Just Judge Judy on the TV. Terrible environment."
"Thumbs up! Food was delicious. Service was kind. This place is a hidden gem. Only I found disappointing, but not surprising, is that they add lard in their beans."
"Good food, good service, yes a little pricey on the drinks, but hey a truck stop with a real sit down restaurant I don't care if it costs a bit more, I will support them. I had the fish tacos. You get 3 with a plate of beans and rice way plenty of food for me.. I don't know if the owner reads these reviews, but I overheard a conversation he had with a local fellow. The man said he wished they still had gumbo, it was the best in the area. The owner said another fellow made it but was worth his time to come in and make 1 batch. Why don't you pay the man to teach your cook how to make it? If you have people wanting that product, put some money into your help. If nothing else give your cook incentive to sit down and watch one of the hundred or so YouTube videos on how to make gumbo. Not telling you how to run your business, but it's what I would do."
