"WoooHoooo!!! Called in search of a 30-amp disconnect as required by the electrician & this place supplied just what we needed. It was a bit of a ride from NOLA to SLIDELL, but it was well worth the ride. The particular item was NO WHERE to be found in the area, but this Ace Hardware was there in a crunch. I found the staff to be very friendly, courteous, attentive & willing to assist. Before making the journey to Slidell, I made a phone call to see if the 30-amp disconnect breaker was there. The young man who answered the phone was quick to advise, they did indeed have the breaker, however , there was only one left. I asked him to hold it for me at the front desk because I was on the way. He did exactly as I asked and I was able to, yeah, you know it pull ‘a stick and move caper’… I picked up the breaker at the front desk, paid for it and I was out the door lickety-split in less than five minutes. No, really it was five minutes. I’m glad to have been acquainted with the store. The trip to Slidell was pleasant and it gave me an opportunity to get out of the office and get a breather. Glad to know this store is there. If I ever need them to come in again in a clutch, I’ll be there. Pricing was fair. Offstreet parking is the call for the day."
