"I opened a claim January 25th, it is now February 29th. I email and call, nothing. I talked to Lori Nguyen my adjuster maybe once one on the phone and she responded twice to several emails I sent out. When I call I am told it should be completed by this time and thats been three weeks ago. Whoever answer the phone is not friendly at all and I have been trying to be polite but after reading these reviews and seeing one 5 star review from my adjuster Lori on here, I couldn't keep my cool. You have time to make fake reviews but not time to reach out to me and let me know whats going on? I am sure my claim will be denied now but this is absolutely ridicoulous. I am looking for someone else right now."

Gulf States is easy to work with, has competitive rates, and is local to the Lafayette area. They chose to stay in our state while many carriers have fled leaving residents in tough situations. "The absolute worse company I have dealt with in 50years. Never spoke with Mary Jordan after 2 years of problem calls. Kept the same insurance but went to a different provider/agency and found out I was overcharged for two years. BUYER BEWARE!!! Gulf States is TERRIBLE!!!"

"I was denied a $1, 600 claim because they said it did not meet my Storm deductible. However, this was not storm damage so why use my storm deductible? Not to mention, their estimated cost of repair was off by nearly half of what a carpenter estimated cost to repair would be. I was also upset also that nobody called me regarding my claim and I continued to wait while the damage continued. Another hard lesson in you get what you pay for."
