"Sadly disappointed, not with the cut because it was good work...but with the barber who knowingly overcharged. Shame on me for not looking up prices sooner or asking since I didn't see anything posted, but I was in a rush to get my son a cut and on with the rest of my day as I had a game to get to. Needless to say the teenager cut is advertised $20 online but he rang up for $30...at the time I figured that's the price since they're in the mall and I know those leases can be expensive so whatever. He runs the card and I expected a tip option at the end so I can pay it forward and show appreciation for the cut. When I ask where the tip option is before the receipt part comes up he informed me I gotta let him know the tip ahead of time. At this point I feel like the bad person I couldn't do the customary gratitude. To be fair he did say don't worry about it and catch him next time but this wasn't my normal place and probably wouldn't be back. I had $10 cash on me so I gave it to him. I'm not too worried about the amount if that were actual pricing but to leave outta there, now knowing that I was taken advantage of I would have never left with giving a 100% tip. Hopefully this was an isolated incident and not common practice. Here's a PSA for others to be aware of."
"Honestly, please listen to me when I say do not come here. It isn’t worth it at all. In my experience, I had an absurdly long wait time of TWO HOURS even though there were initially only two people in the area that had walked in. Extremely slow work from all three of the barbers, even when they got to my hair. And let me tell you, my hair was okay. It’s not the best haircut I’ve ever received but for something so simple to take so long, after a two hour wait time, it wasn’t worth it. And the price was the worst part. All I asked for was a low fade and to cut off a little bit off the top, and that took THIRTY FIVE DOLLARS. Overpriced, slow and a horrible environment. Invest in a personal barber or just go to some other barber shop. These people are undoubtedly the worst. Save your money and your time."
"These guys are really good at what they do. The time they take on every customer is so worth it. I took my friend and it is the coolest atmosphere that I have ever seen, comparable to the movie "Barber Shop" they come ready to cut any type of hair. I know almost all of the barbers personally and highly recommend this business."
"First, would like to say the haircuts were good other than a crooked Mohawk lining in the back. But, that was an easy fix with household clippers. The main issue was the amount of profanity allowed by a customer especially while young children were clearly present. Not one barber said anything about the bold letter sign that read, “NO PROFANITY”. Cuss words were used here and there too by them. Would love to give my money to a black business but if they don’t respect their own rules and customers who knows what else a child might have to witness there. We wonder as adults why kids are doing unacceptable things? Well because they mimic what’s in front of their face. The environment their exposed to doesn’t help either if no good role models are present. 1st impression is everything and I can’t allow my kids to experience that when it could have easily been solved. However, thank you for the short wait time and service! To the owner, as an African-American myself I hope to see your establishment prosper. Hope that this feedback will not be overlooked but taken as constructive feedback to weed out things that can potentially bring down your ratings. As Al Green would say, “Love, Peace & Happiness!”"
