Bella African Hair Braiding

"The business manager uses predatory practices to be competitive with local competition. I called to gauge the price for a braid down, and was told it was $50. I agreed to come there because they were cheaper than the other braiders. I arrived and was serviced but once it was time to pay she raised the price by $30 dollars. When I told her I had called before and was given a different price, she was dismissive and repeated that it was $80. I will not return and will encourage my associates to not support this business as well."

"Please save yourself the headache and stress. Customer service is worse than terrible. I dropped by today to take down my crotchet braids done by another braider. The main lady agreed to do this complaining it might be difficult. Then she picks up a razor which she used to cut through the extension and my hair. Of course I expressed my concerns as she could cut my hair but was dismissed. After about 10 strands, I check on the loosened hair and found she had chopped almost half of my own single braided hair while cutting with the razor. Of course, never complain to an African Aunty!!!! She flared up and refused to apologize; insisting she never cut my hair despite showing her the shortened braid compared to my other single braids. She definitely insisted I must pay $30 and even locked her door so I couldn’t leave. I have too much joy to let you spoil my day Ma’am. That Nasty attitude will definitely lead you nowhere. Paying you $20 for a few strands, yelling and cutting my hair without apologizing is just crazy. You are horrible and I wish you a changed heart."

"Professionalism is everything to me. So is customer service. Because that’s how you make your money. Why I’m giving a 4 rating? Reason is there’s one young mid age extra dark skin lady who was flat out unprofessionally rude. She was talking about me in her language. Which she didn’t know I understood her with my language translator. She don’t smile nor greet you . She seems very unhappy with her job or herself. Just very angry looking all the time. Other than that experience which I’ll never let her back in my head. Bella and the older lady her sister was very professional and there work was awesome. The restroom was clean so was her place of business. With one person on your head braiding this hair style takes about 4 hours . Book now ! 240$ Love my hair real nice ! Thanks Bella !"

"I booked an appointment for 8am. I called several times to confirm, even the morning of. She showed up over an hour late. I sat outside for over an hour!!! I asked for medium thigh length box braids. When she started I noticed they were way smaller than I liked. I informed her of this and she assured me that it was just the nape that was going to be that small and she would make the rest bigger. She did not! One braider brought her baby in the shop who was running around and bothering things. They kept stopping to talk, text, eat etc. I was there for 15hrs when she originally quoted 6-7 hours which is how long other braiders usually take to do the same type of braids that I always get. She was very rude and upset because my sister didn't finish her food that my sister door dashed because we had been there for so long. This was less than two weeks ago (April 2nd to be exact) and my braids look terrible. My real hair is middle shoulder blade length. My real hair is poking out of every braid and the braids look so nappy. I paid over $300 for this mess. I am livid!!!"
