"Please do not go to this place to get anything done by a particular “cosmetologist.” My hair was cut incorrectly and not consistent. The low lights and coloring was atrocious. I voiced issues when my hair was ridiculously attempted. The individual stated, “you can come back two days from now and it will only cost about forty more dollars to add and fix it.” Also, she stated, “look at your hair in a different lighting because my station is dark over here.” Don’t charge professional prices if you can’t be a professional. She sat in the kitchen of this place most of the time and checked the processing once. I called the salon when I got home after my “professional hair” experience was completed and tried to process what had happened to me. I did call back once I got home communicated to the individual who did my hair. She stated that she would able to fit me in two days later. People at Walmart, after I left this salon, were looking shocked at my hair like I did that mess to myself and went in public. I never color nor cut my hair. That is why I thought I was going to a qualified professional and paid professional prices. The owner was made aware. She wanted to oversee the correction personally and did not want her employee trying to fix the immense issues she caused. The owner did offer to fix the issue in place of the incompetence of her employee. The owner had a family emergency and cancelled. Which I completely understood. My hair was completely ridiculous and an absolute joke. Polo ball cap was my only option. I couldn’t even hide what was horribly done to my hair with a bun nor ponytail. The owner did offer another appointment after she needed to cancel to fix my hair. However, at that point, I needed this rectified quickly. I was devastated with my hair and never in all my year’s experience ever felt devastated by my hair resulting the way it did. I am 45 years old. This was an atrocious first. I opted to go elsewhere and just wanted a refund. I communicated this to the owner. I never heard back from the owner nor from her salon. This was after she reached out to me because of pictures sent that she received. She neger continued to rectify through our texting correspondence. Which I kept and have on record. However, I was blessed to go to an extremely qualified/compassionate Cosmetologist elsewhere and no one affiliated with the “Ruby Salon.” It took this extremely qualified and talented lady over three hours to fix my hair from what was done wrongly at this salon in Zachary, Louisiana. This qualified individual witnessed the lack of knowledge, expertise, and work ethic of the “cosmetologist” that cut my hair with dimension’s not consistent and the extreme lack of experience coloring hair. From my evidence and personal experience, I would not go there to that particular employee. I don’t want someone experiencing what was wrongfully done to me. I have never in all my years received such horrid results to my hair and such poor customer service. I am in the process of making sure this never happens to another person again. I don’t want anyone to experience what happened to me."
