Dr. Sancerie O'Rourke-Allen

"This is the worst dental experience I’ve ever had by far. I have a history of anxiety surrounding dentistry and I specifically called to make sure that the staff was friendly. Yes, the hygienists were extremely helpful but, the dentist did not fail to ruin the dentist for me yet again. I called to notify them that my partner suffered from neglect as a child and he was very nervous. As soon as they sat him in a chair they asked him if he had a history of drug use. Right off the bat all of the work I did to make sure he was comfortable at the dentist was ruined. No, he does not have a history of drug use, he suffered abuse and the staff was made aware of it. They then refused to clean his teeth or offer him any treatment or explanation as to what was going on with his mouth. As for my experience, the hygienist told me that I had a couple of small cavities and that they shouldn’t be problem. The dentist showed up and proceeded to tell me that I have a “mouthful of cavities that should be filled white so people don’t know I have bad teeth.” I explained I have depression and she proceeded to tell me that if I’m not medicated I need to be. I cried through the rest of my appointment and when we went to discuss my treatment the receptionist said that my insurance only covers a thousand dollars and that if I took better care of my teeth I wouldn’t have maxed it out. After hysterically crying, the dentist came out, confronted me aggressively about why I was upset, laughed in my face about the fillings comment and said that I was overreacting. Never. Come. Here. Especially not if you’re self conscious about your teeth."

Her office manager, Ms. Connie is absolutely wonderful. She knows her job and tries to assure that each patient has a good dental experience and will want to return for continued dental care."

"Horrible experience. I went to Sancerie O'Rourke Allen in July because of a toothache. She pulled the tooth and it cost me almost $500 out of pocket (one tooth), ridiculous and a rip off. I was in so pain, I just wanted it out. First of all, she was extremely aggressive with the needle to numb my mouth (not once but 3 times)! No regards to how I was feeling at all. While she was pulling the tooth I told her it was hurting and she told me Im not supposed to be feeling any pain, in a rude manner. I dealt with it because I'm thinking I'm going to be relieved of the pain. The pain did not stop. Pain medicine was not working. I didn't get any sleep that night so I called the next morning to let them know that something is wrong because the pain was intense. It was so bad that I thought the wrong tooth was pulled. I saw her that afternoon, explaining to her that I'm still in tremendous pain. She had the nastiest attitude. I asked her if I needed antibiotics and she said, "FOR WHAT" (in the nastiest tone as if I'm beneath her). It was unbelievable that someone claiming to be a professional could act like that, after I spent almost $500. I went to another dentist and she explained to me that I need antibiotics. She called in a prescription. I love my current dentist. She explained everything patiently and treated me as a human being. Sancerie is the worst and I will NEVER go to her again or recommend her to anybody, not even my worst enemy."
