"Rented a vehicle 5 days prior, on the day I went to pick up the car was told I couldn't because they don't do 1 way. If that was the issue should have been informed days prior instead of on the day at office. Worst car dealers"

"Avoid at all cost. This business has progressively gotten worse over the last 6 months. In June I had a confirmed reservation for a 5PM pickup. I arrived at 4:50 to find the building locked with all the lights off. Corporate customer service was little help, noting that because the location was now closed they could not reach anyone. I came back the next morning at 8am, and found the facility still closed. No one arrived for another 30 minutes. I explained what had happened the previous day and that I still needed the car. The employee notified me that they did not have a car available. When I inquired as to how this was possible I was notified that they never had a rental available for me due to return delays. I left frustrated with no resolution only to find that they charged me for not picking up the car that didn’t exist. Fast forward to July, I book a car two weeks in advance for an upcoming business trip. The night before my reservation I get a call that they do not have any cars available for rent. By this time the only other local vendor does not have any availability and I have to drive an hour out of my way to find another location. Again no recourse is offered. It’s now October and I’m here for a 10AM pickup booked and confirmed multiple weeks in advance. Because of my past experience I decided to stop by a few days before the reservation to confirm availability face to face. I was assured that a car would be available. Here I am, waiting in the lobby for 45 minutes, being told they are having staffing issues, and can’t find the keys to the cars in inventory. Shame on me for not learning my lesson the first two times, but more importantly shame on the franchisees here…. The way you run this business will not last and based on previous reviews, Hertz can’t be far from penalizing your terrible business practices. While I fully understand staffing issues can occur it is the complete and total responsibility of the local ownership to ensure that redundant plans are made to cover. Up to, and including dropping what you are doing and coming in to resolve issues."

"DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HERTZ RENTAL EVER EVER EVER and NEVER rent from this local place in Ruston. We booked a one way rental to take a car only for the local person to call us the day of to tell us they don't honor one way rentals. The local Hertz person was also a jerk to my wife and proceeded to hang up on my wife leaving her stranded by herself in Ruston without a car to leave. I had to call the customer support number, but the person I reached spoke very broken English and did not seem to completely understand me and was not able to really help me resolve the problem other than confirming what I was telling him. The only thing he was able to help me with was to cancel the reservation as there were no other option in that entire area that could get us a car. There's a an Enterprise rental in Ruston use them if you need to get a car our of Ruston. HERTZ you need to go out of business and give everybody their money back!!!!"

"I had a reservation to pick up at 1:00 PM. Was called at 12:50 to say they could not rent to me because the computer system was down. I asked when it would be back up and they said it has been down for as many as 5 days in the past. I asked if there was another location I could rent from. The employee said he could give me the Shreveport number. I said he should call it for me and check. I guess I wasn't polite enough when I asked because he hung up on me. When I went to Hertz, he told me the reason he hung up on me was because he didn't let people talk to him like that. Hmm, great customer service Hertz! I will NEVER use Hertz again. AND - you will never get a human on the phone. This is why I left the Google review."

"Had an appointment to pick up car in 3 days, confirmed via text. Car wasnt available when I got there 3 days later. I understand things happen, but the woman was extremely rude about it. I would advise going to Enterprise if your in Ruston, and need a rental vehicle."
