Reviews of The Sportsbook at L'Auberge Baton Rouge
"I stopped in the Barstool Spertsbook for a quick bite to eat and had a couple of appetizers. The fried pickles, green beans, and peppers weren't bad but needed some seasoning. I also tried the Carolina Wings. They were pretty tasty."
"We got takeout here today. It took 1hr and 27minutes to get the food. I had the 16oz T-Bone and the wife had herb crusted tenders. The T-Bone ended up being a 6oz sirloin that was cooked till it was like leather. How do you mistake a 16oz T-Bone for a 6oz sirloin?????? The fries were ok. Also didn’t get the garlic aioli with it. The chicken tenders were nothing special either. They had like a catfish dredge on them with a few herbs. There was no seasoning on either of the meals. The coleslaw was just slightly fermented cabbage. I don’t think there was anything on it. Wow, this might be the worst experience I have had in 45 years. I do not recommend this place unless you eat there and can send it back if this is what you get."
"Went to this restaurant last weekend, and I hesitated to write this review because the food was amazing….the service was not. There were four of us in our party, and we were sat at a table pretty quickly. Our waitress (Akima - I believe) came and took our drink order, and when she came back with drinks, we ordered our food. I ordered an appetizer for the table also, as we were very hungry. She left to put the food order in. After about 20 mins of waiting for our appetizer, we began looking around for our waitress. She was nowhere to be found. We asked another waitress if she could give an estimate on how long it takes for chips/salsa/Queso to come out, and she said the cook was backed up. There was not many people in the restaurant at this time, but okay. I told the other waitress that if it came out with our meal, I didn’t want it - there was no point. She said she would go and check on it. After about another 5 minutes, Akima brought out our chips. You could tell that it had been sitting there a while, because the top of the cheese had a film over the top (like it was hardening). She then went back into the kitchen. After another 15 minutes or so, a waiter or kitchen staff brought our food out. She finally came out and my husband waved her over to ask for a refill on drinks. She brought our drinks and we started eating our meal. She eventually brought out the checks, and walked away again. After we were done eating, we looked for her to pay the check. We sat there for about 15 minutes looking for her. Finally my husband got up and went to the cashier to pay the bill. The cashier told him we were supposed to pay at the table with our waitress. My husband told him she was nowhere to be found. The other gentleman in our party waited at the table; the cashier had to go and find Akima, and after a few minutes she came out to collect payment from him. There was a couple at the table next to us when we were seated who waited 20 minutes to pay their tab also. They were close to leaving when she finally came out to collect their payment also. The food was amazing…hot and delicious, perfectly cooked……. I would recommend it at any time! BUT, the service was horrible; Akima took our order, disappeared until other servers or cashiers went to find her, and then didn’t seem all that happy to be there…. I get it, it’s work; but if you don’t want to work there, QUIT."
"A Great place to watch the big game, or any game. The quality and quantity of big screens puts places like Walk-On's, Hooter's, and Twin Peaks to shame. The centerpiece is a massive 12 foot x 20 foot high resolution flat screen that is simply mind blowing. The menu is not very extensive, but everything that we tried was very good. They have several beers on tap, in bottles, and in cans plus a full bar. Our service was on point and our food was served hot and fresh. Eat, Bet, Win is their motto. You can bet on the sports as you watch, and also play blackjack right there on the spot. Definitely Recommended"
