"***Update 03/15/2024*** We couldn't resist another visit! We were visiting friends in the area and returned to this Thai restaurant. We were so delighted to do so! Once more, it exceeded our expectations. The food is simply amazing, the staff is friendly, and the prices are great. We highly recommend it! ***Original*** I recently dined at Rakong Thai Restaurant, a Thai gem in Covington, LA. The cozy ambiance and tasteful decor set the stage for an authentic Thai experience. The menu featured a delightful array of dishes, each bursting with fresh flavors and authentic spices. From the aromatic Tom Yum soup to the satisfying Pad Thai, every dish was a culinary masterpiece. The attentive staff provided impeccable service, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you're a meat lover or vegetarian, there's something for everyone. My visit was truly memorable, and I can't wait to return for more of their delicious offerings."

"This is the 2nd time at this restaurant and all I can say is WOW. Fantastic food, Great service and a wonderful atmosphere make this small family owned restaurant an absolute must try. The Thai food is definitely a step above every other Thai restaurant that I have eaten at. I had the Pad Thai on my first visit and the Pad woo sen on my 2nd visit and i can't decide which is better. My wife thoroughly enjoyed 2 of the curry dishes on our visits. We will have to keep going back to try more dishes. Excellent!"

"If this pineapple fried rice isn’t the most beautiful thing you’ve seen, than you’re going to love the taste of it even more. I got the cashew tofu and it was delicious, we all shared some of our dishes to try and it was SO GOOD. Live in Baton Rouge, would drive to Covington just to get some more!! "This was the best Thai food my wife and I have ever had, especially the chicken pad Thai! We do not know how they make it but all the textures are perfect from the noodles to the extremely creamy peanut sauce. The service is also fantastic! It is a small restaurant where Mom cooks in the back with help from the Dad and the son waits tables. I highly recommend giving them a try! You will not be disappointed! You will be extremely full and miserable but not disappointed ha"
