"I was only in town for one night and went to Rosella on the advice of a friend. It was lovely! The food was delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and I loved the overall vibe. I also had a chance to chat with the owners for a few minutes and could tell they really care about the neighborhood and their employees, as well as providing a quality product. I highly recommend supporting this locally-owned restaurant and the wonderful folks bringing their vision to Mid-City."
"Just a great night out. To start, we had boudin balls, shrimp wraps with remoulade, and mushroom toast. All were excellent. Entrees were "baked potato gnocchi" and red snapper Keep in mind they seem to have a number of cocktails and specials that are not on the printed menus (a la the red snapper). Both entrees were excellent. The gnocchi were light and fluffy and my snapper was perfectly cooked and spiced with something that reminded me of the middle east spice "baharat". We'll be back for sure. Forgot to mention, they have good draft beers that are also not seen on the menus."
"Updated 1/2/24: Just visited for dinner last week. We were blown away by the red bean chilled salad and the mushroom toast. The meatloaf was outstanding too. Gnocchi was delish - would be great as a side for the table also. ——————- Rosella had their soft opening this wknd. They’ve remodeled the whole space to a funky, vintage feel with a record playing juke box and new bar. The menu is eclectic and the cocktails are delish. They’re using a lot of locally produced liquors too. Excited to see this new neighborhood restaurant blossom!"
"Can’t recommend more! Despite arriving 30 minutes early, we were warmly welcomed by the owner and her son as they were coming in. They let us grab a table and drinks before the kitchen opened. This Mid-City gem boasts an impressive wine selection and unique cocktails. Even Paradise Park is on tap for the simple beer lovers. They're family-friendly, with a kid's menu featuring corndogs and fun activities. The jukebox, filled with the owner's family's old 45s, adds a harmonic personal touch. The food is unique, especially the loaded potato gnocchi. It's simple yet exquisite, each bite a surprising symphony of flavor. Rosella is more than just a restaurant; it's tuned to be a community hub. We left feeling welcome, satisfied, and eager to return. Happy hour awaits!"
"We went to Rosella’s soft opening last night and everything was fantastic! Excellent little neighborhood spot with a comfortable atmosphere, that is beautiful, yet understated with really great vintage details. The menu is balanced and eclectic, with thoughtful local touches. Everything we had was absolutely delicious! We tried the Andouille croquettes, the mushroom toast, smoked white fish dip and shared the loaded baked potato Gnocchi and Would highly recommend everything we tried! We will definitely be back again to try more items and cocktail’s!"
