"We have walked quite a bit when we chance on this restaurant and we wanted oysters. The guys at the door are very welcoming and our server was very good at what she does. The food was quite expensive but ordinary, nothing to write home about, the dish more filled with fries with sparse oyster meat that we really wanted. My salad was just an ordinary salad. Quite disappointed really. What topped our disappointment was the 15% tip added on our bill and not even asked about it, and there's just 2 of us. Will not recommend and will not go back."
"The only reason we ended up here was because we were looking for balcony dining nearby - and this popped up. The service and the atmosphere were awesome, but the food was not terrific. The serving size was also pretty small (we were still very hungry afterward). We took the crawfish etouffee and the shrimp Creole. Now coming to the pet peeve, when we looked at the cheque, we saw that a 15% gratuity was already included in the cheque. This is a bit shady to me - why weren't we informed of it before? Honestly, our waitress was so great we wanted to tip her more, so we had to do more math to adjust for the tip. This was very weird, overall (never in my life have I seen something like this - and I'm suspicious if the already included tip even goes to the servers!)"
"My husband and I had a great experience here. The service was great. The bread pudding is delicious along with the drinks and the entree's. We sat on the 2nd story with a nice view. Give it a try you won't regret it."
"Stopped in for lunch before it got crazy. Party of 3 on a laid back Monday afternoon. Hurricanes were tasty, just enough alcohol but not too over powering. Our party ordered the lemon chicken, a lemony fettuccine Alfredo, hamburger and fries and the Buffalo chicken sandwich, which was nice and crispy tossed in moderately spicy Buffalo sauce. Over a very pleasant experience with good service. But fyi they charge automatic gratuity, we only had a party of three. (Hence only the 4 star rating)"
"The food and service is 5 stars, so you can come blindfolded and won’t regret it, plenty of space and they also have seating on the 2nd floor and balcony outside. Prices are typical for a French quarter restaurant. 4 stars? I am an audio guy and the noise is out of control. Yes, it’s not enjoyable unless is 12am and you are in a club. There is a difference between loudness and noise. If you are into flavor, this one wont disappoint you. Portions are perfect, the fries dishes are a little too big, but you can def share them. Overall it’s a good place and I would def recommend it."
