Legacy Kitchen's Steak and Chop

"Me and a few friends from work ate here. We ordered a variety of things such as the crafish dip, spinach dip, steak, pasta, tossed shrimp, burgers, and truffle fries. No one had any complaints about the meal they ordered, everything was really good. I was given a complimentary birthday dessert. We also had a drink called the twisted punch and it was good. The service was GREAT, Mr. Victor was an absolute delight. He was very welcoming and comedic. Will definitely be back for Happy hour again."

"Visiting Gretna La. The day after Valentine's Day, my husband and I decided to try Legacy Kitchen's. It was early evening 4:30. Easy to get a seat and close to our hotel. I ordered a med/well center cut sirloin steak & shrimp. It came to our table cooked rare, bloody. I don't like sending food back, but for a $50.00 steak and a $11.00 side. Bread or beverage is not included. I expected so much more. The picture is what it looked like after sending the steak to the kitchen. On the outside, the meat looked ok, but when cut into the steak. It's still too red, bloody, and now hard to chew. I was not pleased. I was so disappointed and I couldn't eat it. The manager never came by the table to ask if we were happy with the serve. We paid and left. So don't waste your good money. I wished we had gone to a chain steak house. At least you know what you are getting."

"It was an hour between when we were seated to when we received our mains, there was no appetizers ordered to tide us over in the meantime. I ordered a soup for my main which was listed on the menu at $10 with no indication if that pricing was for bowl or cup. My bowl of soup was half filled and probably had been sitting at the pass for probably a half hour and was barely lukewarm to the touch. After my soup I was still hungry, understandably, and was about to inquire about dessert when our waitress shows up with the checks so I didn't even bother asking and was not offered any. Clearly she just wanted us gone. I was incredibly shocked to find that my nearly cold and half filled soup actually cost $18, the same price as the chicken and waffles for not nearly the same amount of food and with no indication of that exorbitant price on the menu itself. The restaurant was not full, there was no reason for the lack of attention, the speed of service, the subpar portion and value of the food. edited for more details since i can't directly reply to owner: Please let me know where I can email you directly. I only ordered a bowl of soup and a drink and the price came to over $20. There was no indication of the bowl of soup price on the menu, just the $10. Our reservation was 11/10 at 7:30 pm. "Really good food in a casual environment. They do steaks really well with great service. Stopped in while doing some shopping in the area. Quiet place but very welcoming. I ordered the crab cakes and the surf and turf. Only a bit of filling in the crab cakes and the steak was cooked perfectly. Also, I could eat those shrimp all night. Not much around so not sure when I’d be back but it’s one of the best food options in the area for sure"

"My salad was great, and my guest enjoyed their entrée as well. I ordered my favorite salad, the tuna mango salad, and it was delicious. The only problem we had was the waiter not telling us in advance what items on the menu that were unavailable. My guest selected an item that was not available and was disappointed she had to make another choice."
