Reviews of Fuji ramen house
"I’ve given this spot three tries as I was very hopeful and excited to see ramen in this area, however the hibachi and ramen were all disappointing. The hibachi beef was soft, chewy, and not seared on the outside while the side of noodles and rice were completely unseasoned and bland. It had some sauce on it, but no oil, chopped onions, peas, carrots, green onion, nada. The black garlic ramen was also disappointing as the broth lacked depth, fishcake lacked flavor, the chashu was thin and over cooked, noodles weren’t fresh or properly chewy, and the egg was overcooked. Additionally I’ve tried both their tonkatsu, beef, and fuji ramen to equal disappointment. The chicken karaage was decent enough as were the bao. If you’re craving ramen in this area during lunch menu pricing, then sure give it a shot if you’re curious. Try the fried apps, avoid the hibachi."
"Food: Bao Buns have VERY modest servings of chasu. Not very good. Calamari - Frozen and refried - mediocre. The food has no real invention or passion. Ramen - Same noodles as Nomiya. Broth was too salty; not enough balance or real flavor. Egg undercooked. Lacked presentation and flavor. - The Chasu was also dry Service: Like most restaurants staffed with younger people - they spend more time on their phones than tending the table. Not an experience unique to a restaurant. But if you're new, it's something to think about. Atmosphere: The menu, restaurant design and website all feel like cheap ripoffs of generic Japanese culture. I write this for others to know what to anticipate. I am a loyal visitor of Nomiya and constantly look for new Ramen places. I hope the restaurant makes some changes through these different reviews to help it's future success."
"The people are friendly, the service is excellent, and the restaurant is clean and inviting. We were super excited to have a new ramen place so close to the house. We came once before and the ramen was passable. It's what I would call a good lunch ramen. The noodles are good, but the broth leaves a little something to be desired. It's thin and separates, but it's OK. The pork is likewise passable, but not special. We got Bao Bao last time and they were OK, but again not great. This time I got the hibachi steak and shrimp. If you get the chance to try this, don’t. To say that it is amazingly bad gives it excessive credit. Everything came on a plate drowning in the same unidentifiable sauce. Everything is of low quality and strange flavor. The steak was chewy and stringy. The noodles were sour and actively gross. The fried rice wasn't fried and had no flavor. If you need a quick bowl of ramen, this might be the place for you, but I have never had hibachi/teppanyaki this shameful anywhere."
"1 star for the food, everything else was fine. The ramen had great presentation but lacked on flavor. The noodles tasted like spaghetti. Maybe the hibachi side will be better."
