"I usually give this place (Gretna) a great review, but yesterday we arrived at 2:15, were seated, and gave our drink order (2 beers). 25 minutes later we were still sitting there (still no drinks) as our server passed our booth no fewer than 4 times to deliver bills and go- containers to her tables that had completed their meals. Not once did she deliver food or drink, or stop to take our order. She didn't acknowledge us after seating us until we got up to leave. And she wonders why she hasn't gotten a raise in 17 years. I think she's lucky to still have a job."

"We went at 3pm. I brought my 2yr old and 12yr old. The place was not crowded. The staff was very friendly and professional. We ordered hamburgers, fries, and onion rings. The burgers we good, but typical. The onion rings were very good! The fries were good as well. All of the food was prepared how we ordered."

"Been awhile, not that bad. It was quiet in the restaurant, which was nice after a long workday. We asked for the small cup of roasted peanuts. Started off with the loaded potato skin appetizer. They were really good and steaming hot. Then our main meal. I got the grilled salmon with a side salad and steamed veggies. Salmon was cooked to perfection. However, the sauce that was used was really tart, almost like a mustard taste. Not exactly what I remembered from previous visits. My husband got the chicken cordon blue wrap with fries. He was a little disappointed because it was supposed to have BBQ sauce, and he said there was hardly any on the wrap. Other than the sauce issues, the food was good as far as temperature goes. The waiter was very nice and attentive to our needs. I would have liked dessert, but I was a little full. Maybe next time."

"I grew up loving Ground Pati in Kenner where I grew up. In Lafayette now and tried this one today. OMG the burger was exactly like I remember. Amazing burger. Totally underrated. My husband got the cordon blue sandwich and it was also amazing - so tender and flavorfully marinated. Awesome chili also. And they have a free party room and I scheduled an upcoming meeting for an organization I am involved with. We will be frequent customers."

"The service was fair and typical for what I've experienced from many restaurants post pandemic, it seems hard to get good employees. They weren't rude or mean, just average at their job. The food was good. They have a good selection of American fare and burgers seem to be their specialty. It isn't the kind of place that I'd plan to go to on an evening out but if your out and about and need a quick bite it is not a bad choice."
