Chris' Poboys

"Let me say that I have frequented Chris’ for many years and this is truly the first time I have been disappointed. I called my order in at approximately 5:30, was told it would be ready in 15-20 minutes. Left my house about 5:50(I live about 6 streets over from Chris’) got there and my order was not ready. I finally got my order well after 6:00. I also ordered the gumbo and asked to just have chicken and not any sausage. Well I had more sausage and very minimal chicken and the gumbo seemed very salty!! Not a happy customer last night! But I will be back!"

"I had a mixed seafood dinner and I had not had seafood so perfectly fried in many many years. I couldn't have chosen a better place to eat. The service was awesome and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The place was extremely clean and with a great atmosphere. I would give this place more stars if possible."

"Chris' Cafe offers table service and to-go orders along with a surprising list of food choices. Daily specials are offered. I had the fried shrimp poboy that came with potato chips. The Cole slaw on the sandwich was good, but for me, I could have used a bit more dressing. My friend had the gumbo that was severed with white rice and a roll. She said it was very good. I had ordered French fries, not knowing chips came with my meal. They had spicy seasoning on one side."

"Been hearing about the gumbo so I had to try it.. Had the chicken and sausage, it was really good. The potato salad was a little lacking on salt but was decent. Shrimp Poboy was good but not exceptional.. The place wasn't that busy and food was prepared fairly quickly. The service was very professional and attentive."
