"My husband and I were on a long trip - home to Australia from England via USA. Travelling through the southern states, I was badly in need of haircut. The lovely receptionist at Doubletree said the local JC Penny was a great fallback to go to when you don't have an appointment. The best thing about travelling is meeting new people. The hair salon specialists were all amazingly friendly, knew what they were doing, and could not have done more to help. Interestingly, the price was very reasonable - especially when you consider i am converting Aussie dollars to US dollars. The young lady who did my hair (Sorry, I am rubbish with names), told me about her experiences with just moving to the area and gave me some great tips on what to do in Lafayette. The salon does looks tired, and that's OK due to how lovely, welcoming, and professional the staff were. They were a godsend on our trip."

"My work group had an appointment to take pictures for our manager. We were from out of town and got cancelled as we were walking in the store. We decided to take our own pics since driving all this way and they couldn’t fulfill our time. Needless to say this woman who works for JCPenney helped us take our random pics. I don’t know her name but thank you so much for sweetheart. We left with happy memories."

"Rude. Didn't apply for the credit card. "JC Penny appreciates it's customers who don't want to save money." That's why the mall is dying. In addition to adding freaking storage units in the old sears and everybody closing at 7, leaving little time for working people to shop, of course."

"Decent amount of inventory esp for clothing. Adequate stock of men's suits and pants. The day I went over the weekend, there were three associates at the checkout keeping everything going smoothly."

"Store was pretty empty, one register was open on first floor. Stock was okay considering the inflation level we have. Store was clean and staff friendly."
