"Very unsatisfied with the services third coast has to offer. I brought a boat to Mike the owner with issues the boat wouldn’t run. After a little over a month he texted that the boat was ready and could be picked up. (The work that was preformed was he installed a new carb and replaced a flywheel key. He offered to rebuild carb for 2 hrs of labor so I decided to install new.) When I got there I told him I wanted the carburetor that originally came with the boat. He looked and could not find it, then goes on to blame his hired help of stealing it. I paid him for his services with his promise of mailing my carb. Shortly after I picked up the boat I went straight to the boat launch to test drive it. Boat cranked right up fine but when the prop had a load on it the boat would lug down and die. When confronting Mike, the owner, he again shifted the blame on his hire help stating that he didn’t know if his guy adjusted the fuel-air ratio when installing the carb. Basically gave me the run-a-around. When I confronted him with “how are you going to make this right” he explained that he did nothing wrong and that the carb he owes me is broken and trashed. The same carb he offered to rebuild so if it was in such bad shape why would he have offered to rebuild it? After a little over $800 he didn’t give my parts back and gave me a boat that doesn’t run in the water. When confronted on how to make it right he claims he isn’t at fault and does not offer any solution for fixing my boat. Would not recommend to anyone!!!!! STAY AWAY!"
