"This was the prettiest meal but the least flavorful that I’ve eaten in New Orleans. Super cute but next time I’ll just get coffee. It’s all about the aesthetics here."
"Service is amazing - highly recommend stopping here for refreshments, very friendly and courteous staff. Visited whilst sightseeing- right across from Lafayette Cemetery No.1, and if you're a 'Your Honour' fan, the Desiato house is just down the road too! Bonus"
"I came in earlier today around 2PM after coming across this cafe on Instagram. If you are from New Orleans then you KNOW about Commander's Palace and its rich history. The beautiful blue/white aesthetic and cafe vibes overall were what drew us in. We ordered one rich chocolate ganache and ice cream crepe with an iced caramel macchiato (~$17) for dine in. The server, a curly-haired girl, took my order down WITH my name. While I was waiting for the order with my sister, there was VERY limited seating available. I thought that this was a cafe, but there were people who looked like they were studying taking up tables, not visibly eating or drinking. So we just assumed that this was likely a cafe/coffee shop set up? We still decided to go through with dining in and standing at the counter in the middle to eat our crepe because we were that excited to try this place out. Another server, a straight-haired brunette girl, brought out a crepe on a plate to a couple that was sitting at a table. After serving the couple, it was apparent that there had been a mistake. The crepe was supposed to be ours as I watched the two servers look over to us. I approached the counter, where the brunette server then grabbed the plate from the couple's table and handed it to me. I was in disbelief as she literally handed it to me without apologizing or saying sorry to me or the couple. I understand that mistakes and do happen, but I was just appalled that she was not apologetic and grabbed the plate that was already placed down in front of two other people. I even visibly saw the couple leaning over the plate initially, and the lady had her feet out as she sat criss-crossed on the booth. As I was holding the plate in complete disbelief, the server then asked "was this not what you ordered" to which I clarified that "yes, this was my crepe". She then asked "did you want it to go?" when it was obvious that she literally handed me back a plate that was already served. I asked for her to remake the crepe for me after she tried to say that the crepe was not touched, when she already placed it down at the couple's table and had walked away before she realized her mistake. I think what was more unsettling was the fact that the plate was just handed back to me while I stood by the counter, AFTER the error was realized. She asked me if I wanted her to remake the crepe afterwards, but she did not seem like she wanted to do so at all. If anything, I got a really negative attitude/vibe from her. The couple should have just been allowed to keep the crepe to have or the crepe should have been thrown away. A new crepe should have been made for me, no questions asked. I was genuinely so disappointed with the service and have never experienced anything like that before. Another customer in the shop came by and spoke to my sister and I after witnessing the incident, saying that she noticed the same brunette server was making the crepes behind the counter without wearing gloves at all. She was handling cashier duties and going back and forth without washing her hands too. I value the importance of food safety and hygiene, and I trust that all establishments uphold the highest standards in this regard. I, again, understand accidents/mistakes happen all the time. However, I was met with such negative attitude and completely unapologetic behavior from the brunette server. The crepe was then remade and brought out by the curly-haired server who initially took my order. She was very polite and kind to me. She even let me know where the utensils were and asked if I needed a to-go box and bag for the crepe. Honestly, her and the food/drink were the only reasons I am giving this place two stars. I kindly request that Le Petit Bleu review and reinforce their staff training on food safety protocols to prevent similar issues from happening in the future. I know that they will likely give a copy-and-paste PR response or not read this entire review at all, but I hope that future goers who come across this are made aware of their service and quality."
"Beautiful small creperie with a limited menu, but food was food. You can also try some of the dishes served at their main restaurant, the iconic Commanders Palace, without the need to dress up and make reservations."
"I did not realize this pretty little restaurant was affiliated with Commander’s Palace when I chose it. The second I tasted the Turtle Soup there was no question, delicious! All of the dishes I saw were creative and very tempting. The staff here are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable as well. This was my first time here but certainly will not be the last."
