"An absolute lovely surprise! Their menu is enticing enough for a visit. But. The. Courtyard! Super friendly and great staff! Grabbed a cup of their Banana Coffee Specialty Drink on our morning walk and it was outstanding. Can't wait to visit again!"

"A tucked away courtyard leads to the Rising Sun. As we walked in the footprints of forefathers past, we took a step into yesteryear. In New Orleans, old is bold. History is mystery. If only these walls could talk. We stepped in for a cozy couple's retreat and a bit to eat. It was a steamy Saturday morn. NOLA style. Gleefully greeted by Emma, we took a seat in what best could be described as a formal informal dining room. A big fireplace. Big comfy chairs and couches, draped with classic white slipcovers. And there were acrylic chairs, clearly see-through. The mood was set for an atypical meal. And that's a good thing. Accompanied by my Fav Fab One, we surveyed our surroundings and the menu offerings. Our eyes were drawn to a curious combination of eggs, house-made pimento cheese, andouille sausage (YUM!) and green onions on toasted brioche. We both ordered this tempter called the Breakfast Sandwich. In no time, chef himself delivered our dining delights. Plates of plenty. Our foodie faire. These sandwiches were excellent. Very tasty, set off by the melding of pimento & cheese and andouille please. Dee-licious! Interestingly, we both ordered UN-sweet tea. Emma advised she would brew us up a batch. Now, that caught our attention. Fresh brewed tea? I also suspect most diners in this part of the country prefer their tea with a loving spoonful of sugar. Fresh brewed? How refreshing.... WE absolutely LOVED the tea. So much so that we asked for the brand information. We're going to be ordering some. Can't wait. Overall, our trip to the Rising Sun proved to be a 'bright' spot in our day."

"This hidden gem is Absolutely Delightful. The bartender was fantastic and showered us with attention, humor, consideration... Truly a great experience. That part was so much fun it would have been worth the trip even if the food weren't amazing... But it is quite good. The coffee drinks are innovative, unique, and special. Completely worth the time."

"Absolutely gorgeous little place with wonderful food. We throughly enjoyed the patio for our breakfast. The spinach omelette was the best I’ve ever had and I am not an omelette person. The coffee was outstanding. Prices were very good. Service was effecient."

"This is a must try spot. My girlfriend and I walked a few blocks from our Airbnb to have a nice little outdoor breakfast. I wanted something intimate and romantic and the gazebo table was perfect. She had the Espressotini and I had the spice drink. Rachel made them perfect. We had the Pulled Pork Hash and the Diner plate. She added the pimento cheese to her eggs and and hash browns which sent the plate over the top. Thank you all for such an amazing breakfast and we will definitely never forget this experience."
