"Only had beignets but they were delicious. Eclectic fun spot."
"I had two Yelp elites give me a very helpful inside scoop on where to get the best beignets in New Orleans. Rachel T reminded me that we have a co worker on the yelp team (who is from Nola!) She recommended reaching out to ask him where to go, and I’m so thankful she reminded me. Tomas (who is now the CM of Austin Tx) gave the Absolute best recommendations of where to go. Who better to ask than a former local themselves right?! Very thankful for all of his recommendations he provided! Blindly going to New Orleans and knowing they are known for their beignets, let me guess, most of you think oh Cafe du monde of course! Same. I knew this was popular here but, I actually wasn’t too excited to add that place to the list. The giant franchise was not my first pick (no offense to those who do visit and love cafe du monde) But I figured there had to be some mom and pop place that probably did it better - and most likely sold them cheaper as well. It’s this place, lol - Tis Here! Look no further. In my two different visits to this restaurant, I tried two different cheese dips, a sandwich, beignets of course, chai tea, matcha latte, frose’s to go, etc. I visited this place on my first day here, and stopped in on my last day before heading to the airport again. Well worth visiting twice, and the prices for what you get in return - wow! I loved the mini piano on the floor upon entering this restaurant. How pretty and unique! Magazine street and its surrounding restaurants and store fronts were my favorite part of New Orleans. I would happily visit again just to make a day or two of that again. This restaurant is located on or near magazine street. Plenty of areas to walk to & enjoy after getting your fulfillment of beignets. These beignets weren’t greasy or heavy, they were light and fluffy - plenty of powdered sugar or cinnamon and sugar on each one as well. If you think it’s too much, you could actually shake off a lot of the sugar or even order plain beignets if you wanted too. Everything I tried here was worth it to me. I would highly recommend stopping in The Vintage if you are in the area. No reservation needed. It’s an order at the counter, find a seat or table kinda place. I also appreciated their social media presence. I tagged them in my Instagram story a few times while I was visiting, and they always reshared it to their story as well. I do always appreciate when a business takes their social media presence seriously. I would love to come back and spend my money here on the next visit !! Take all my $$$ for the impeccable beignets please & thank you."
"Stopped here for beignets, they were cheap and delicious. Lots of options and heard they have very good coffee. Would recommend!"
"Y'all, it's been 2 weeks and I still have dreams of these beignets. We had beignets from 4 different places during our vacation, including the most famous of spots, and this was by far the best. We tried the stuffed beignets, peppermint and pecan pie. Both were crispy on the outside and soft and warm on the inside and heavenly. They were the perfect texture. The cafe au lait was also delicious. Definitely make this a stop if you're in the area. Loved the vibe of the place too."
"Very pleased with this lunch stop! It’s definitely a wait for the food, but the food comes out worth it. The chicken BLT flatbread was probably the best thing I’ve eaten all month. So good! The fries surprised me with how good they were. The Italian Panini was good with one downside of the bread being a little too thick/crunchy for the sandwich. All of the ingredients/toppings were quality, fresh, and they did not skimp on the quantity. We also had the fancy beignet flight. In my opinion this was overpriced. They were good but small, which I wasn’t too upset about because they were crazy sweet. There were three beignets: raspberry, s’mores, and matcha. I was very surprised that I even liked it, but the matcha was my favorite. The raspberry tasted a bit too artificial for me, and the s’mores was super rich and had basically a sugar sauce inside that was a bit too much for me. The atmosphere was unique and aesthetic. The table numbers were cool and the setup allowed for ease of flow/movement despite it being a busy/crowded place. Only complaint was that the music was a bit too loud. All in all would highly recommend!"
