"Great local spot to have breakfast, lunch, dinner, or even stopping in to have a drink. Staff is always friendly. The owners are extremely nice family oriented people. Food is always great. Gets busy on Saturday with the Gretna market."
"Pros- In a cute area, it’s open on Sundays, and most other local restaurants are closed, which is how we ended up here. It’s somewhat appealing, and it looks family-owned. We waited about 15 -20 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was sweet, and the previous owner, who her sister-in-law now owns. Con’s- We waited about 40-45 mins for the food until we asked our waitress what our food's status was. The food came out immediately after asking for a status. We ordered a kid's grilled cheese sandwich with French fries, Lizette’s medium-cooked tuna mixed greens salad, medium rare steak, eggs, and grits. The food came out cold. I got lettuce instead of mixed greens vegetables, which were old and brown. The fries and grilled cheese and steak were also cold. We send the food back immediately. Once the food returned, we noticed that the grilled cheese had just been reheated, and she got three slides instead of 4. The steak that was ordered medium rare was now fully cooked and unseasoned, and the mixed green salad was still just lettuce with overcooked tuna. I mentioned the salad still only had lettuce, and I was told they never serve it in mixed green vegetables and that the menu was wrong. When we asked about the grilled cheese, they said it only comes with three slides, and if we had an extra one, it was by mistake. We did get half of the salad. Additionally the hallway taking you yo the bathroom smell like urine and the floors were slippery. In all this location was extremely disappointing. This was our first time here, and we wanted to like it. We left to go eat somewhere else. However, there's another cute restaurant up the street with excellent food and customer service ❤️"
"This is a popular spot for breakfast. Stopped by while I was in town for an event and was able to get a seat at the bar. This place is seat yourself and there is a possibility there will be a wait when you arrive. Felt that I got my money's worth for the amount of food I received. The staff was very friendly and attentive while I was there. If I am Gretna again, I will make sure I stop by for breakfast."
"I enjoyed the food and great customer service. The only thing I dislike was the iced coffe it was watery and had no flavor. But everything else was perfect. The waitress was amazing and did a wonderful job. The crowd was more of an older crowd didn't see young people there. They also have a bar."
"I haven't been here in 10 years or so. I went for the mushrooms St Trey. These are so delicious, and those remain the same. That was a positive. Although overall the service seemed good in the restaurant, we had the bum luck to have a server who really didn't seem to care too much. We didn't have our order taken for a long time while others were ordering and receiving food. I didn't get my hot chocolate until I had to ask twice for it. My salad was supposed to be on romaine lettuce, but it was iceberg and the harder white bits that I don't care for. The crackers that were served with the salad were probably 10 years old. Even the basket was dirty. My friends' breakfasts were okay, as they said. I imagine this is a place better for the fried dishes and burgers. I will likely stay away, unless I'm craving the mushrooms."
