"Tried this place when they first opened and wasn’t impressed but decided to give them another try as it has been several months since then. Called to order takeout and the phone was placed on the counter for 7 minutes after staff member said “give me one second”. Shouldn’t have called back after I hung up but I did and was left disappointed of course. Our food was wrong despite the staff member reading our order back to us when we placed it. The chicken chimichanga I ordered (which is $4 more than another local Mexican restaurant) turned out to be ground beef that was not fully cooked. I called the restaurant to let them know of their errors and they told me they were short-staffed. If this was actually the case, our food would’ve taken longer than 15 minutes to prepare. He did offer to remake it but we were uninterested in giving them any more chances. My husband and I have been sick for two days from the few bites of uncooked meat we ate before we noticed how pink it was. This is a health hazard. I will not go back."
"Our server, Maria, was great and attentive. We had the quail special and the ocho combo (chicken enchilada and chili relleno), watermelon margarita, and queso. The queso was delicious and served in a pretty deep dish. We had lots of leftovers. The queso also comes with puffed fried tortilla chips. The table chips and salsa was good except the chips tasted a little off due to what I believe was fried in old oil, but im hoping that was a one time thing. The red salsa was served warm and the guacamole cream salsa were amazing! Over all, delicious. Plus the vibe of the restaurant was amazing. The space is also huge, something you don't expect when looking at it from the parking lot."
"Update... Best margaritas around Luling, and the food too. This place has become my to go spot now LOL (lunch, dinner, brunch, birthday celebration, after graduation dinner, etc) I'm hooked with it. And my favorite server... Shelby!!!! She is the best! . Went on a Friday night for my 1st time, they had excellent live music, the food was delicious and a great atmosphere overall. The only thing is that their margaritas machine was down and they don't serve micheladas, which is weird for a Mexican restaurant not to. LOL But overall it was good and our waitress was awesome!"
"Took a friend for his birthday yesterday. Very impressed with the food and service. I’ve heard mostly good things but a few less than nice comments. This is certainly not a run up your flag if you want more food restaurant. Food was excellent and very inventive compared to many similar restaurants. Our server, Shelby, was very attentive, checking on us several times. She even handled my teasing with great aplomb."
"Tried to come here when it first opened and was turned away due to them only having one cook. A new restaurant. No worries. Well we decided to come in today two days after Christmas and this is our experience. Hostess was sweet. Our waitress was sweet. So staff was on point. Restaurant is beautiful inside and big. Chips and the dip are Really good. Problems we had: Food took almost a hour to get. And came cold. Big portions which was nice but it was cold and by time food came out we were full of the chips and dip. We ordered tortillas soup. One of my favorite things to eat at a Mexican restaurant and I love making home made. It was watered down, and only have large chunks of veggies in it. More like a veggie soup. I ordered chalupas and got tortillas shells covered with lettuce and chicken. I’m a huge foodie and my go to comfort food is Mexican and disappointed. I hope they can improve on this."
