"Most authentic Greek food in Baton Rouge. I haven't ever been to Greece, and I've only been to a couple Greek restaurants in BR, but I have a gut feeling that I'm right. Which is where Roman's amazing food is. In my gut. With my love for this restaurant. Also their pita is so fresh you could get 3rd degree burns on it. Absolutely great experience."
"This place is awesome. Food is delicious here! The pita is scrumptious. The lentil soup is rich and flavorful. Eggplant mussakka is the best I’ve ever had. Just fantastic!"
"This rustic & cozy corner is such a cute Greek spot. The food and atmosphere is fresh. Joanna is a great addition to Roman's. It's one of my faves!"
"Best kept secret in Baton Rouge. Great spot for lunch. The chicken shawarma plate is excellent. Food is fresh. Baklava is very good--just the right amount of sweetness and spice, with a flaky phyllo, and not too dry. The pita is made fresh, and served piping hot right out of the pizza oven."
"Update: went in recently and was super disappointed. It seems like the is restaurant is following the same path the original location did- up for a while and then a consistent bottom shelf decline. This restaurant went from being Country Guy’s most anticipated restaurant to meh. The sandwich had barely any protein. I felt like I was still eating the complimentary pita bread. The dipping oil for the pita, was all oil. We were saddened to see this. The fresh pita and dipping oil was always the highlight. The service- these servers need some training around the BR area. Poker face only works at the casino and church. If the Mean Girls look is in, Mean Girls would not be proud. We hope the past two experiences were flukes. January 2022- The cuisine is in the top three Mediterranean in Baton Rouge. The Lebanese tea is delicious. Small place compared to what the original site used to be. They do offer pizzas for those customers who aren’t fans of this type of cuisine."
